She didn't expect him to move on after that year and a half, which was not smart on her part. This episode said a lot about Simone's true feelings, but folks aren't catching on.

lol lando didn’t twist her words at all. He was correct in his assessment of her statement. What she said about choosing damon was the core definition of an obligation. She chose damon simply based on “first come, first serve”, with lando being the collateral damage. Her TRUE choice was lando, but she picked damon because he was there first. Now that lando is with your sorority sister, who looks better than you, NOW you want to catch up with him.

My biggest issue with Simone is that she wants her cake and ice cream too. When you break someone’s heart, you cannot expect them to remain your friend, especially knowing how Lando felt about her. If she’s not really willing to try a relationship with him and she just wants company because Damon is gone, then she just needs to be alone for a while. I often wonder what would happen if all American continued and this homecoming show got canceled, would they have changed the subject of Jordan and Layla. Would Simone have fought for Jordan more?

Simone is never satisfied with what she has; she always seems to have a backup plan, often masking her intentions under the guise of friendship. This pattern is evident in how she started with Jordan, only to shift her attention to Damon, later blaming Jordan for the fallout. In truth, it was Simone who was pulling away. Now, with Damon gone, she suddenly realizes that Ladon doesn't need space-he needs something she knows all too well. It's clear she knows exactly what she's doing.. Not a fan of her, she needs a character development

I believe Simone was definitely willing to explore a relationship with Lando but was blindsided by Damon’s ultimatum. Her and Lando had uncomplicated love and I would have loved to see their love blossom. To me, they both forced her hand. I would have chosen neither.

I don’t see how anybody liked Damon & Simone together. Damon had no boundaries and that showed in how he pursued her while in a full on relationship. Simone being young & naive fell for it because she realized her and Jordan were going to be long distance. Then he pulls up on Simone while she’s also seeing Lando to tell him his feelings weren’t real while he was just with Thea. Damon is only satisfied when things benefit him. Lando cared about Simone as a person but also held her accountable and they had healthy disagreements. But when you are so used to a “type” you can’t see what you really need.

@@phizzy123 thank you! Everybody saying they want Damon when he’s not good for Simone. He may have been good to her at times but overall, she was not a better person being with him. She was still emotionally immature & didn’t know how to handle disagreements because Damon would storm off as well and then apologize later. Lando was a way better communicator and actually SAW Simone.

Warning spoilers:One thing fans have no patience for is the long game. Relationships have a tendency to be messy especially when your young. Beyond Lando and Simone having chemistry, they had the makings of a real relationship. They challenge each other, which I don't think Damon really challenges her much. It's cute that her and Damon have things in common or whatever but their relationship seems superficial and the writers of course didn't help that. However now that the show has concluded you can see that Lando and Simone were very obviously endgame.

The plot writings sometimes show consistency in the they present shows and imply by things, they w the character is in the show. A character has his own personality and mind that is based on the vision. Simone's baby's father, Damon, and Jordan look the same way is to have nothing to do with race. They are her Type reality of show. she wants to pin Baby on one and she chooses Jordan, no other guy. lol If you cannot comprehend do not call people ignorant. Neither of the shows were about who had what skin tone or appearance. Even when racial and systemic issues were discussed and addressed on both shows. The shows were based on real life issues and storylines following characters who encountered those issues and experiences in their lives. For you to be so focused on what skin tone the characters had instead of the stories, the plot, or their experiences speaks volumes to your closed mind and ignorant perspective of these shows. It’s sad because there were other things to learn and take away from these characters and you chose the most superficial and surface level things to focus on instead of realistic situations.
