All Bells - The Carillon at Grace Cathedral - May 3, 2018

Magnificent bells from Gillett and Johnston who sadly stopped casting in 1949. I saw the cathedral 3 weeks ago n my first trip to the US as we travelled n the California street car from Van Ness to Market street. I believe the heaviest bell can also be swung as a Bourdon bell like Riverside church NY. As a change ringer I got to ring at Washington Cathedral who have a peal of 10 bells plus a 43 bell Carillon. Sadly no change ringing bells in San Fransisco. How nice for a peal of 10 or 12 in the other tower. Still beautifully sounding bells Greetings from Sydney
