So in this beta we have two new 5 star characters. Bui and Riddle, which made making this video even more annoying since I had to pull them both. There are also two updated All Out Attacks, Fleuret ( formerly Seiji ) at 0:57, his pose is different. And Yuki, they fixed the typo at 01:26 from “gose” to “goes”

Wow I feel really envious, the creativity shown in these designs is really wonderful and they are oozing the characters personality. I am assuming that another team must've made this game considering its in mandarin, we only gotten standard guns/swords in persona 5 most of the time, but these characters have such variety not to mention the clothes of all the party members are also so nice to look at. The only thing I'm not sure on is the writing quality considering this is sort of a spin-off of Persona 5? I'm not exactly sure how they will write this story or how region specific the type of story they're trying to tell is.

Ngl I like this direction for P5 going forward. They can both continue on with 6 while also sticking with the phantom thieves as long as feasible. … plus this will likely unite both the vanilla and royal TLs (which means Zenkichi, Sumi, and Erina in the same game along with the boatloads of newcomers). Maybe even PT forms for Persona 1-4 characters! 😊 The possibilities are endless with this! I love P5 but I definitely agree that they need to move on to 6 sooner rather than later; I see this as the best of both worlds! A solid compromise oozing with potential. (Note: while I do like genshin and R1999, there’s very few other games with a gacha system that I can wholeheartedly recommend in good faith; with those two games the gacha is not actually required to progress. Dragalia Lost used to be in my top recommendations before Nintendo axed it. Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Starlight stage replaced it in my roster but that might get replaced with this game.)

Though I also assume that wouldn’t be the hardest hurdle either considering those characters are the only ones who have the red tape to go through. Considering these kinda games, they likely have plenty of time to mess around before releasing them. TLDR, it’s not the most likely but also not entirely impossible. I still say this is a good compromise between getting more phantom thieves stuff and finally moving on to the next mainline game.

Main and interlude story focuses on the core 5 (Wonder, Luffel, Arai, Shun, Liko), event stories possibly focus on the Phantom Idols real life counterparts.

@@invertbrid considering the structure, only the core 5 are actual Phantom Thieves. The rest of the playable characters are Phantom Idols, due to the cognition system. Though they can still be relevant in the main and event stories. Considering the concept of crossing worlds, as seen with Wonder partial interaction with Ren/Joker, it's possible Sumi/Violet, Sophia/Sophie, Zenkichi/Wolf, and Tactica duo will be playable Phantom Idols through version updates.

I feel like the original phantom thieves have unique designs and that’s what make the new characters feel blend. Especially idk how it happened but the art style is very inconsistent, like if i don’t see them in the video trailer and just see them in a picture with no context. I will think they come from different anime/game. 😱 not to mention their persona is hella generic compared to the original one. Like for example how futaba’s persona is a ufo. Or makoto’s is motorcycle. While it’s a gacha game but they could put more effort in their designs imo. I’m not comparing or telling anyone that genshin is better but when it come to design they at least put efforts to make their characters noticeable and unique.

Key is probably my favorite, just look at that PSYCHO stare! This is the best they can do to make P5 relevant and profitable AND not make us tired of it. Giving new characters, new stories, interactions; that's one of the few positive things a gacha game can bring. And since this is a paralel project, it won't get in the way of P6. Hopefully.

P5X acknowledges Royal and spin offs through offline events and giveaway campaigns. They can add characters from Royal, Strikers, and Tactica through version updates once the game goes live. Since P5X doesn't have almighty element, plus physical and gun are considered elements, the assigned elements/gameplay might be different from the console titles. Best guess Sumi is a slash DPS with high crit values, Sophia is a bless healer, Zenkichi is a self stat increase (but with drawbacks) slash DPS, Toshiro is a gun support with team cover/protection.

It's probably just because I'm doing P5R NG+ rn and know the story already, but I kind of don't like Cattle so far, in contrast to Morgana being both funny and cool when it's needed, where as Cattle just seems to be imitating Morgana and trying the whole Mysteriously cool style too much
