Kusanagi CT-3X is a double reference. Looks are inspired by Akira, while the name could be a reference to Ghost in the Shell main protagonist Major Motoko Kusanagi.

One thing to note is that when using melee on a bike you have a lot more range in first person so provided that you use a sandy in tandem, it can be a deadly combo.

The black model of the Kusanagi is actually my favourite vehicle in the game, cause it looks so badass. Bikes feel just so much better to drive (espcially in first person). So sad we didn't get a car customization feature.

They should make a customization focused update as i feel like 2.0 was a gameplay focused update. They should add more Gun customization, Vehicle customization and way better V customization like cosmetical cyberware, body adjustments, more hairstyles, more tattoos just more everything on that aspect and add New Game Plus already goddam.

If you're on PC, its fairly simple to replace the vanilla bikes with other variants from around the game with a mod; Personally, I have the black Kusanagi, a White/Red Arch, and a White Apollo with all the extra storage boxes, for maximum Nomad vibes

Love the Ghost in the shell references since it's pure cyberpunk it's like edgerunners before edgerunners for me I go back and read the Manga and rewatch the anime every few years cause the series is awesome probably the reason cyberpunk is a favorite of mine especially after 2.0 😂

There is Yaiba Kusanagi... and then there are other vehicles in Cyberpunk :) During all three playthroughs, last one with Phantom Liberty, I have tried almost every car or bike, but emotion/immersion-wise nothing comes closer to this bike. When V rides through Night City on Yaiba Kusanagi, it truly embodies the menace/hero/powerhouse and legend V is.

I just gotta say: One of the Cyberpunk collector figurines is V on the Kusanagi CT-3X with one arm having a mantis blade opened. Since we can use swords one handed on bikes in 2.0 now, it's just a shame that we still can't use mantis blades while on a bike. Just seems like a pretty easy fix though, hope that comes through one day

Bikes are, and always have been my preferred method of travel in CP2077. I just really really really wish they had incorporated a reliable and well done wheelie mechanic into the game. Style over substance cannot be better espoused than by a merc on a bike with neon lit up wheels doing a wheelie through a group of Voodoo Boys while Sysnapse Burning in Overclock the group. Just saying.

Agreed! The only really way to wheelie is to shoot about 3 feet directly behind or in front with one of the hand cannons. It pretty much always ends in swerving though, losing speed and control

I'm not sure about the other platforms but on PC, you just hold CTRL and you weight shift to the rear and wheelie no problem. You can also hold L SHIFT and you can weight transfer forward.

I also find the Kusanagi to be the best bike. Especially for the Akira reference. But for me it is closly followed by the yellow Arch Nazare - if you wear the correct outfit. Use a female V and the yellow jumpsuit, take out a Katana, and you will never be closer to Kill Bill. And the crazy 88 might just be another street gang of Night city. Btw love your ranking videos.

Seriously though, without bikes navigating trough night city would be a real pain. I find pretty much all of the car driving "terrible". Bikes allow you not only better mobility they also allow you to get trough the traffic at higher speeds. I really hope in their next Cyberpunk game the developers will spend more time working on their vehicles and most importantly how they drive. It does not "feel" like you're driving a vehicle but rather riding a heavy cow steering on ice.

Haven’t given the kusanagi a try yet, but so far my favorite bike has always been Jackie’s Arch. It may not be the best performing, but I’m pretty sure my big choom’s getting a kick out of me ripping through the city on his wheels while sandy shotting honks with his pistols.

Man, I miss my old black Kusanagi. I forget exactly what update it started with (it was an early version), but at some point I noticed in my travels that a few bikes were persistent and did not despawn. They were in the same spot I left them at hours or days prior, then I started driving them to different places, and sure enough they'd remain there when I returned later. Eventually I decided to start collecting them and I brought them back to the parking garage in V's megabuilding. All told I had 4 bikes stored in a single parking space for probably a good 40-50 hours of game time until one of the updates before 1.6 despawned them. Unfortunately I could not get this glitch to work for the Wraiths version of the Shion, that would've been sick, but cars just didn't seem to stick for more than a little while.

One thing that I found with the Kusanagi is that it maneuvers like a brick at low speeds, which makes sense, given the design. It really only starts to get into the realm of controllable above 30 or 40 mph.

i actually prefer how the bikes handle over cars in the game. First playthrough was on Jackie's Arch, second on the Kusanagi. Jackie's handles superb but can't beat that Kusanagi top speed (especially going to see Juday at the Dam)

I bought the ultimate edition of Cyberpunk 2 weeks ago, I went in blind thinking that this game is another "FarCry" esque game, but no, this game is beyond amazing, the story, the creativity with builds, the satifying klang of shotgun shells, and cyberware perks, all of it. I saw the Kusanagi randomly on the autofixer and I thought, I want to make the iconic Akira slide using this bike because it reminds me of both Akira and Ghost in the Shell (Major Kusanagi). I practiced, and it's now my wallaper on my PC. Absolute goated bike.

I know the Kusinagi is technically faster...but I can't ride anything other than my brother's bike. I helped him earn the eddies, he listened to my dickheaded unsolicited advice on what HE should do with HIS ride, and my surrogate mom told me to take care of it for her. Said Jaquito would want me to have it...just don't get any scratches on it. Sorry, Mama...I got so many, but I'll never ride anything else unless it's for a job, or Panam wants to "drive the tank" again...

if you need to have a sharp turn on a bike, hit the hand brakes early and accelerate again halfway during the turn. Takes some practice but you will feel like a badass after pulling it off several times. Bikes r just too good in Night City.

I dunno about the current version of the game, but back in the day all bikes had a stash option if I recall correctly. I know for a fact I've used them a couple of times on other bikes, and I never acquired that fugly Apollo with the bin since I only go for vehicles I like.

Fun fact: not only the Arch Motorbike is Keanu Reeves' real life motorcycle brand, but Keanu Reeves himself is canon in the Cyberpunk universe. This Keanu Reeves never got any far as an actor as he did in our real life universe, he is a B-list actor if memory serves me right, and when people brought up his likeness to him, Johnny gets pissed off. And after his Arasaka stunt people went up to the in-universe Keanu and brought up his likeness to Johnny, and often mistaking him for Johnny himself.

The Kusanagi has been my favourite vehicle since release and even with the new stuff in PL I still fold and buy it as soon as it's available in every playthrough. Flying through traffic with the radio on is the best way to get from A to B in my opinion.

Holding V down swaps the lights of the vehicle. It doesn't make the bike glow brighter but instead you just swap to light the wheel up

I usually drive "Jackie's Tuned Arch" which has slightly better stats than "Jackie's Arch", i got the tuned version by doing a second playthrough of Phantom Liberty and chose the option to skip directly to start with Phantom Liberty at the start from the menu. If i could add another vehicle in this game it would be a Quad, that would rock in the badlands.

Kusanagi's speed is also a big advantage in badlands almost crossed all of the southern badlands with it in couple of seconds and terrain obstacles made no difference....except huge ones ofc ...but small bolders and rocks absolutely shatter to sand infront of it

Bikes are the only ride I can use in 1st person in this game. The cars' view outside is so restricted, have to toggle an outside view. But oh boy is it exhilarating to zip through traffic on Jackie's bike, narrowly avoiding cars and pedestrians at high speed

I suck at driving in games anyway (especially on a mouse and keyboard), so I need a bike to keep from crashing into everything and everyone. I also just can't bring myself to use any other vehicles. unless there is a reason to use a car, i usually use the Yaiba Kusinagi first and jackie's second (if I have to wait for the kusinagi to cool down after it goes "boom"). reason isn't just speed but i can navigate traffic better because i can squeeze between car traffic especially in city center, Heywood, and those single lane areas in watson (like the gig to get scalpel)
