The ABs played two amazing games against the Boks. There seems to be this unrealistic expectation that they should win every game, or at least be perpetually ranked no.1. South Africa has a population of 60 million which is more than 10 times the total of NZ plus the Pacific islands from where many of our players come. And by all accounts SA has a rugby following even more fanatical then NZ. They SHOULD be no.1! Its a credit to the ABs skills that both games went down to the wire. We need to do less critical analysis and express more appreciation of our amazing ABs!

I don't think that is it. I want them to fix a couple of things that have plagued them for the last four years. Their kicking out of hand and exits from their 22 are the reason they give away so many penalties. Fix that, have better decision making and better game management, and they will be back to their best. It gets frustrating to watch them repeat the same mistakes. But I am confident they will turn this around. Really two narrow losses against the best team in the world is not all doom and gloom, they are not far off the pace.

We need to give the youngsters more opportunity. Dary, Vaii, Lordand Paddy for lick. Scott go to no. 6, Savea at 7 and Sotuto at 8 and Sititi and Dalton on the Bench. Then you have experience on the bench, enough length in line out. Good wirght in the pack. Backs bring back Ritchie and Laumape and start Proctor and Love in the backline.

From my observation the coaches simply does not have enough trust in their bence to turn a game around nor bring impact. You cannot have a prop play for 70 odd minutes and expect him to make good decisions. This of the reasons the All Blacks lost the World cup finals (and please don"t tell me it was because of Canes red card), Our First Fives of late are poor kickers (we left 9 points on the field last week against SA and how many did we leave on the field in the RWC final?) I have been seeing a decline in our ability to close a game in the last few years and our last 20mins has been extremely poor the last bunch of games. The players who got picked outside the usual 23 man squad are being done hard by the fact that you do ot play these guys for weeks on end and expect them to be at their best when given an opportunity.
