Secondly, because the All Blacks Playbook really has remained the same consistently before, during & After the 2023 World Cup. Agree with your points but those are basic nz coaching faults cos the black ferns have issues as well ; take the lineout ; its a competition but only if u jump ; the front man controls his area : to repel a force one needs an opposite force , those not jumping need to step away to see where the balls going . I’ll tell you what went wrong - a 10 playing 15, a 15 playing 10, another 15 playing 12, a 12 playing 13, a 15 on the bench coming on at 14, a 11 on the bench coming on for 13. Way to much 10s and 15s kicking the ball away. And a 9 that probably shouldn’t be there.

They mainly keep losing because they don't have international level defense. It's not so much missed tackles but the inability to make dominant tackles and present a frustrating wall to the defenders. The argies didn't have anywhere near as much ball as the ABs but could do so much more with it as the cream puff defence could not stand up. Defense is attitude based but the formation and whether to use a rush defense or more traditional defensive structures is up to the coaches. The reality is the all blacks forwards are small it means if they don't hit their opposites early then they do not have the size to arrest their momentum and prevent constant front foot phases. Their current choice of defensive structure is allowing the giant forwards to get up a good head of steam before contact too frequently. On the flip side, their own forwards lacking size are being shut down hard by rush defenses. Either they need to evolve their player selections amongst the forwards, which will be hard given nz style of play encourages smaller more athletic forwards or they could swallow their pride, cooy what works and use rush defense to reduce the momentum of larger opposition packs before contact.

It can be about how you tackle also. When your opposition come at you moving to his right, then you tackle him with your left shoulder. When he run at you running more to the left, then you tackle him with your right shoulder. It is like boxing a southpaw.

Remember when we called for the coach to be sacked after losing a close game to close out the series here against the Irish? By any measure the performance four tests into this new season is well below where it was then. The road leading here was started down at that point. Make you right about the leadership. Savea is not a good leader, he's way too casual and that was reflected in the attitude that resulted in the first Puma try from a "very" fast turnover ball. Where was New Zealand's defence? All ball watching and alb on his own. There's more rubbish to come next week.
