This guy deserves every one of our subs. He has put in an absurd amount of work to find these crit rates that EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE assumed was 28% for Firearms and in most cases had also assumed 28% for Skills as well. Eyeballing it on most bosses you could tell Skill Crit was generally a bit lower and this is clear from Vash's tests. Awesome work as always Mr. Cow Overlord. This also makes Perforator on Hailey look even spicier, just saying ;)

Coming back to this video for the like the 1000th time for my Haley build and thinking about it. Doesn’t this new finding of Crit rate * (1-Crit Resistance) make glacial syncytium an awful choice or is the trade of of losing 15.1% critical chance to gain 10.2% chill skill power worth it

As say a Boss has 25 resistance you add 15% from GS now your only maxing crit at 60%

Thanks so much for this, tested crit resist on only devourer a month ago and it was a pain having to go through frame by frame of recordings to see how many shots crit. I can’t even imagine doing this for all the bosses….the devs should really be transparent with certain mechanics (in this case crit resist) of the game instead of hiding them behind hidden walls that we as players have to decipher ourselves.

Loving your content, btw if you take an Enzo in to these fights you can get more purple ammo so you aren't stuck with 5-10, might make testing less tedious :) builds for infinite ammo too without affecting your crit rate.. also tactical rifles have a gold mod, that reduces crit resist by 25% 🤔 making it 100%?

Basically the more crit mods the better if you want to crit, as its not a crit ceiling as last video claimed. Again you want all 4 crit mods if you want higher crit rate.

Not quite, I was over capped in this test. You will get the same results from no skill insight and no crit hit rate from reactor. I had both on and still had a 2/9 crit happen on Obstructer. It falls more on RNG. Whether 86.5% or 100%(technically way over cap if it would truly add my values not cap out) you get identical results. Most of my crits from 1 were 7/9 or 8/9. The 2/9 was 1/900 chance but it still happened with 100% crit rate.

@@richardwcyiu correct, and no problem! The bug crashing us every time was the trickiest part 🤣. I am testing aggro personally and that was mentioned too during our testing, to possibly understand it better. It does seem pretty rng as I have stayed at the start of the mission, done 0 dps, and was hard focused until he dropped me. They revived me and he went RIGHT back to me. So “highest dps” or “closest” doesn’t seem to truly be a factor when that happens to me lol. Can’t say for sure yet. More testing to finalize my conclusion. Thanks again Vash for allowing me to be apart of this! It cemented my thoughts on crit 😁!

Over 100% is the same as 100% like we discuss in the vid. Less than 100% is not the same as 100%, though the difference you’ll see is contingent upon the boss you’re fighting.

i want to know how defense works more then anything. i want to know why my (post update) 94k armor 38k hp ajax got downed in a single missile barrage from gluttony. i threw down a wall and a bubble to try to revive someone, and it broke the bubble and almost the shield. i know for a fact that it was to much defense and not enuf hp, but how much defense is enough. he died about as fast as my 20k defense 22k hp gley.

the mod is multiplicative against the resistance %, so it's not as strong as you think it is unless the boss has crazy high resistances

I really want to know how far the crit calcution works. Have you ever considef that what if bosses have different crit resist to different elements, differents bullet type (iirc EL is arc shot) or if each parts of the boss have different crit resist? Just like how in Monster Hunter, each parts take different damage from each weapon type.

there is a mod for firearms that decrease an enemy hit's crit resist by 25% so bosses might actually have a 25% crit resist, it would make sense considering that would be the only real use for that mod, its a gold mod and has a 10+sec cooldown per proc so... absolutely dogwater for ads

Yeah i noticed that and ive put it on another weapon with 10 sec its long enough so you can shoot and swap, you could also have stuff like rounds boost and stuff like that on the weapon so its full utility, probably some unique weapon that could give even more side benefit. The problem is that if it were crit damage it would be nice, but crit rate, while its still good, when you are above 70% you barely feels it anyway so its not realy pointless but hard to actively use it efficiently. Alone at least, but its probably realy good if you pick a enzo build and you also buff your allies and all

A video I'll like to see is how does targeting/agro work? Like what are the most important variables? Because DPS and or burst damage seems like it affects who gets targeted/argo. After that is who's closer. And lastly who's within line of sight.

I tested gun crit cap on gluttony and it comes out 74.71% with a small sample size of 170 pellets. I really doubt the result of 50%.
