Omg, I just came across this game for the first time thanks to youtube recommendations, and I was confused how the plot goes side-by-side with the gameplay here. Just look: Mumble and Gloria are discussing that Eric needs to be alone, and this narration comes from the movie, but right on the screen Mumble dances a very passionate tango (much better than penguins on background and Ramon combined), and Gloria at first occasionally looks back at him, and only then enters into beat. I know that this is part of the gameplay to defeat boss, but this looks so absurd and messy, but very funny. Honestly, this is how you can describe all dance battles: Brian was flooded with glaciers, the pomeranians flew together, and some penguins drive away or charm rivals with the power of dance. Developers really tried to make dance animations, lmao

It's a lot better when you see it tied together with the cutscenes and gameplay but yeah the boss battles do seem strange on their own

My favourite missions were the swimming ones, I wasn’t all that good at rhythm games back when I used to play it. I also jut loved to swim into the walls and let the monster eat me...whoa, I think I’M the monster for doing that 🤭 Talking about the first one, I’ve never played the second one

I was just about to say that swimming was only in the first game then I saw your edit lol. Sometimes when I play these games, I have fun crashing into objects to mix up my gameplay, especially when parts of the game get tedious, then I'll edit out my "For Fun" game deaths in post.....well most of them. Honestly, I felt the first game was so much better than the second game because it felt more immersive in the movie universe versus this game.
