I relate to Broly so much. Cast out and the only family you have uses, abuses and manipulates you for their own agenda. Isolates you so that they become your sole focus and your only goal in life is to feel a pride from them in you that deep in your heart you know you will never attain. But even after all that…..that’s still your parent and it doesn’t feel right to hate them even when you do. I think the point of Broly’s character was always childhood trauma and regrettably I think way more of us 90’s kids can relate to that than we’d like to admit. We all felt powerless and to turn rage into power is something we all would love to feel. He is dragon ball’s hulk and that’s hulk got majorly popular; every body wishes in the slightest sense that they had something inside them they could just unleash when overwhelmed

Canon Broly is a whole lot better than Legends Broly. He is litteraly a gentle and caring giant and is willing to make new friends the best he can. I appreciate and approve of how his character is made and tbh, even if Broly is the legendary super Sayian, he's doing his best not to lash out and be a sweet and loving person to the best of his ability, and he can do that now since he has a family.
