Frankly, it wouldn't even be close to shocking if this car cost them $1M to build, with the sales of body panels down the road being the planned pay off. They have all of the carbon body panels available for these late '60s-early '70s Chargers, the late model LX chassis Challengers, as well as the S550 Mustang in GT350R form(that's a bad motherfucker!) - and, they cost a metric fuck ton too of course, but the quality is 100% second to none, this is the best off the shelf(or rather, made to order likely) that money can buy. They also do custom builds too, and Chris Evans '68 Camaro they put together was doing the auto media circuit before this one. Hope they have some major investment behind them with the cost of everything that they do, the RingBros, Rad Rides, Foose, Detroit Speed, SpeedKore, these are the bleeding edge of the cus car scene, no doubt. And, emissions keep the pre-muscle car stuff alive atop the show scene while the money maker volume builds are still the muscle cars.
@OllamhDrab5 жыл бұрын
@@gixxxer1000 But if the cost of carbon fiber manufacture keeps going down, imagine the possibilities of computer design and stuff, especially considering it doesn't have to be picture-perfect-looking weave once people get bored of looking at it and just want it like regular colors or whatever. Fact is, I can't afford even really gutted shells of what used to be five hundred dollar cars even as runners, (And real wages haven't gone up since then even, already) ...you could be looking at like eight grand for a Duster you'd still have to throw thousands more at for paint and body before even getting to the parts that make it go. Which you'd have to/want to do anyway... (Someone had a Feather Duster, which was a real gutless economy package at the time, but... aluminum hood and front fenders, and most modern builds...you'd be changing out the rest of the stuff that was too cheap anyway. If I had a like fourty grand budget I might have bought the thing. )
