So confused by how this works. How do you control what part of the ground gets taken? How do you control how much gets taken? What happens after the ability is done? Do the spheres just hover forever? If not, why/how do they move? What is that black light? A singularity? If so then why isn't the entire planet being torn apart? If Kaguya was sealed in the moon, meaning the original one used huge parts of the earth to make said moon, what kind of apocalyptic devastation did that bring to the world due to the change in gravity and mass of the planet? If its comparable to our earth and moon, that's about 1/4 of the planet's mass being ripped out and made to orbit.

1. You do not control that. 2. You do not control that directly but you can control the strength of the gravity (apparently in real time as we see Pain struggle even after it is cast) by the amount of Chakra you give it either at casting or while it is active. 3. Yes, they hover around until released. Does maintaining them cost chakra? Probably not as much as making them, the moon is probably stable on it's own gravity at this point. They move as the Rinnegan commands. Apparently somebody researched that their pull gets weaker over time until the material is released, their pull also seems to reduce as it grows in size. 4. The Moon is not a quarter but in fact an eightieth (1/80) of the Earth's mass and in reality it was an all life killing level of event that probably happened before life started, it turned the entire surface of the earth to magma and meteors. But that was because gravity released huge amounts of potential energy when whatever it was that crashed onto Earth to form the shards that became the Moon. "Gently" removing chunks like the Chibaku Tensei probably did minimal damage. Apparently all you do is chuck the gravity ball close to your opponent, point blank/touching seems to be ideal.

Sasuke's CT has no weakness like Madara's ones. The weakness of the CT is core which can be destroyed. But Sasuke's CT has no core, instead he makes the opponent the core itself. I have no idea if Naruto can escape from Sasuke's CT. May be Kishimoto noticed that problem, so he made Sasuke didn't use that coreless CT against Naruto. Otherwise, Naruto would have been sealed and lost the fight.

Naruto escaped CT against Pain. He could likely do it again since he has gotten stronger even against Sasuke. There is also that Sasuke seems to only use it when the enemy can't move (I could be wrong), which could mean you could get away of Sasuke's range with travel or flight speed before you get sealed.

Idk how to explain it the simple is he make konoha become a moon without hurting the infrastructure and people in it.
