I think most people at least view him favorably. He's a very friendly guy, if you get past the isolation induced insanity. Just the fact he's not trying to kill him places him above the majority of Pandora.

to be fair in episode 1 i liked loader bot and didn't think he stood a chance of getting out so that's why i detonated him, and actually i think the writing is better with Loader Bot resenting Rhys half the story because it made me realise Loader Bots think like us humans (i had no boarderlands knowledge before playing this game) and i grew to love him and he became my favourite character and episode 5 proved he was the true MVP of the story

+Duke The Rebel just keep looking around for money, you can get some early when these little guys stab a guy and you can take his money to bribe a guy (don't do it, you'll still be able to continue on with the story but you'll lose a hundred dollars) or save it to get some cool stuff, it's entirely up to you!
