I'm sorry but yeah you're right haha! Andy is a little too arty and self conscious, a little too low key and cool. He keeps playing examples throughout his videos at such a low volume you think it's some background music. It took a loooong while for me to figure out that the background was what he was actually talking about. Dom is great! He can't stop himself from showing all the fantastic gizmos and tools in Cubase or whatever! Great energy and happiness factor. :D But Andy isn't that bad, really. Compared to Dom he has a little to learn but he's generally OK ... if he stop playing examples at background level haha!
Not forgetting that he's a bit slow, find myself speeding the video playback but that distorts the audio coming out of Cubase. Never been able to watch that stuff live.

I saw this listed in my KZbin menu and said “Hey, I can always learn more about the reverbs in my DAW (Cubase). But then you said something about Black Hole and the Arturia reverb. I said “Hey, I’ve got the Eventide Collection and the Arturia FX Collection”, so I subscribed! . . . I enjoyed your presentation and look forward to watching more instruction, guidance and opinions coming from you . . .

Mate, I’ve been a hobbyist trance and progressive house producer for 4 years now, all that time I’ve spent researching techniques and tips/tricks from forums etc, and in the grand scheme of things, I’ve learned a fraction compared to what I have from you after watching your vids for the past few days before producing. You have opened my eyes and mind to so many things. Thank you so much my friend! One quick question, do you recommend the strategy of making tracks super fast in order to get better? Or take your time to fully understand what your trying to achieve and understand how things work, plug-ins, sound design etc. I find rushing tracks leaves me uninspired and uninterested in them, it takes away the heart and the feel. Anyway, thanks a lot for all the knowledge my friend. You are a Cubase genius.

I totally agree with your opinion on how excellent these Steinberg reverbs really are. I find myself going to these over Altiverb and some of the UAD verbs for several reasons. First, they sound great. Second, they are light on CPU usage and when you go to render long projects, they allow faster render speeds. Third, when I share projects with other Cubase/Nuendo users, the plugins are there. Someone asked below if you can do an industry standard mix with just Cubase's reverbs, the answer is absolutely. That said, there are many other great reverbs I love, but these are solid.

@Dom Sigalas Could you PLEASE download the Nuendo Demo and do a head to head comparison with Cubase, so that cubase users can know if it feels natural or clunky to have all of the extras... @MrMalbertz123 Жыл бұрын
Don´t know if Dom is watching this comments but I hope I get an answer from someone. It is regarding reverb. Often I listen to a movie score and I am blowen away from the room effect they created. It is not the reverb I am talking about. Its the room the orchestra is playing in, or the hall. You really get the idea that the orchstra is playing in a hall, without having a reverb at that dominates the sound. I tryied to do this with plugins of all kind, but cant recreate it. How can I simulate a symphonic score beeing played in a big hall, without a reverb? I have tryid it with a reverb plugin just using the early reflection and it comes close, but it is missing the sice of a real hall. Any idea what I am talking about? Cheers
