Girl, I am with you and having parents that use the dish washer as storage and the foil thing with the stove. My mom doesnt do that with the stove anymore, but her dishwasher is still storage. I'm part filipino so my mom does funny stuff like that all the time lol.

Hey April for the blood try using Real Simple Clean Stain and Odor Treatment. I think you can get it at grove collaborative. You shake it dab the stain and it comes off. I used it so many times.

My mom always managed to break her vacuums within two weeks, give or take, of purchasing it. Then I bought her a Dyson and a Shark. We always had two at a time. She then passed away and I have both vacuums that work perfectly. I can’t say which is my favorite, but have to say love them both. And I was gifted two rug shampooers.

I thick it's an immigrant thing because I grew up in Queens, New York and all my off the boat friends' parents (including my parents) used the tin foil on the stove, used the dishwasher for storage and their living room coaches were encased in plastic and we were never allowed in there

Hi April Its TMI ... My dog had a period and she made some stains on my furniture I used hydrogen peroxide . After sprayed, wipe with towels It worked on that blood stains

Did you try shampoo on the blood stain? Always works for me.. cold water a little drop of shampoo and scrub .. I know it’s an old stain now but it might lighten it up a bit
