Thanks for the review and the opinion. If it worth buying depends on what they will add during this second year. The Ultimate edition wasn't cheap and the Ubisoft news was telling something about accessing the new content for those who have this edition so I purchased the second one (on PS5) just to learn that it was wasted money.

At the end of the day it all comes down to if you play the game and if you enjoy it, nobody can tell you it isn't worth it if you find enjoyment out of what you buy. That's exactly why I bought it because I like this game and I don't mind paying some money for some exclusive stuff. Value is subjective and this is an example.

If you already own ultimate, you need to pay for the Year 2 pass, if you buy the new Ultimate you get it included. Bare in mind both are exactly the same price. I would have thought they'd have raised the price but didn't.

The only thing I'm particularly hopefully for is the custom mode. The playlists/map are going to have the same problems the existing ones have. The rivals system is also going to have the same problem playlists have. Playlists issues: Way to easy, no replay value, no pvp, challenges are busy work, not rewarding Map issues: To much open space, lack of flow and variety between different road types crossing over (driving on a GP track and exiting straight into and offroad rally course etc)

I see all you points, but locking actual content behind a paywall is a dick move. I'm not against spending money on a game I like to support it, in crew 2 I purchased CC to buy all motorpasses. But I will not support locking content behind a paywall out of principle. Game companies are getting more and more greedy, so if they have success with moves like this, it will be a big loss for gamers overall. So in short, locking cosmetics behind paywalls fine, locking content behind paywall not acceptable.

Controversial……but I hate the Chase Squad stuff, it offers nothing new IMOP. The whole point of Motorfest was that it was a racers paradise, why are cops chasing racers (but only cat racers?) - just seams like an odd thing to add. We have NFS for cop chase stuff. Come up with something really original.

My account is set as the primary on the console, and all other games, like Call of Duty and its DLC, work fine on his account. Tbh i didn't try, But I believe you can not. They are "special edition" cars so its not likely. Sorry, it wasnt something I tested. With a couple vanities you can make any car a cop car though...

Because the Ultimate edition does not include ALL future updates. It just comes with the stuff you got in the beginning. They never said, "the ultimate edition gives you all DLCs" This is fresh content being added to the game. They deserve to be compensated for the hard work.

I bought TCMF at 2/3rds off retail launch price on the UK PS Store in January 2023, it was £25. Have not bought any game, racer or RPG which I greatly enjoy, such as A/Creed & Fallout, Elden Ring, Tomb Raider current gen etc, for more than £40. Normally £25 or less. When one takes into account all the new additions to MF that the devs are offering, a UK price of £25 is well worth it, especially when one considers that dipsticks will shell out £70+ for games that eventually flop. The Gaming Community needs to get its Reality Pants 🩲 On & enter the real world with a real world mindset. 80 years ago, guys of 23 were flying B-17’s over occupied Europe with the 100th Bomb Group USAAF & giving up their lives en masse for it. Wake up people. 😊

This season 2 is a rip off. I got the game a year ago and only got pass one with it. Today you buy the same game, version, for the same price, and you get season one and two. For the more loyal people who bought the game first, they are charging an extra $ 30. Ridiculous. Does this mean that a year from now, you will buy the same game and get season one, two, and three? Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was developed long ago and neiled chase and escape mechanics. This thing looks boring and way too staged in comparison. I had high hopes for helicopter part but it's just a checkpoint run. Huge disappointment

I paid £25 for it last January 2023 on UK PS store, 3 month after it’s launch. I always wait 3-6 month after a game launch to get it at reduced price. Then I bought a new PS5 in May 2024 to replace ageing PS4 console, again in the EE Mbe phone provider network at reduced price. Paid £10 for the PS5 upgrade. So for TCMF alone, as I can now play great RPG’s such as Elden Ring & HZDFW, for TCMF alone, iv paid out £35. For the full game. I’ll shell out another £25 for the Year Two Pass. So, £60 for 2 years worth of play. Sounds like mature money management to me.

Its not even worth the money i suggest no one to buy it its a waste of money and just a money grab. Most of the cars are gonna be buyable to all players later on regardless youd only be getting them literally a week earlier then its released to the public. They are now selling the year 1 pass with the new ultimate edition which includes the year 2 also so which is dont necessarily agree with but whatever right. I guarantee you they are gonna release chase squad to everyone later on down the road. Im not buying it for the reason being why give money to a company that has yet to fix anything in the game that needs fixing. People still disappear off my screen got the new outfit from the rivals playlist now my character has some red aurora around him froze mid race tonight turn my camera and all the trees are glitched out.
