Just watched it on Netflix and i miss the hand drawn movies disney used to do, So much work… Now its all computers. This movie is a brilliant piece of art! Disney made so many good movies hand drawn… I wish they would drawn them like this again. Showing the emotion and hard work put into one movie… Oh Disney don't I miss you ):
@mostlyharmless887 жыл бұрын
Yeah I love the classical cel animated movies too, but come on. As a CG artist who's worked on those 'shitty computer movies' you're referring to; it's insulting to read your comment because it reflects what the general public thinks; that computers do the work for us. Yes computers are the tools we use, but no more than a pen draws a picture for an artist, or a hammer builds a house for a contractor. It's still artists at the helm -- not button pushers, so please enlighten yourself before spreading that ignorant myth that computers have a magic button that somehow rendered the artist obsolete.

I'm sorry. I wrote that over two years ago. I was just getting into animation and didn't understand how much effort goes into them. Art is art. I simply admired old animation, and shouldn't have dissed CGI. I'm dreadfully sorry for offending you. I actually am quite fond of CGI. It has a lot of character and clearly takes a lot of time and effort. I really am sorry. As an artist to another artist, I hope you can forgive me.

@beninua6 жыл бұрын
I almost agree. The Little Mermaid though - despite being a classic Hans Christian Andersen story - marks for me the beginning of the end of the classic Disneys. Something happened and the magic of the old stories somehow disappeared. They had a short "comeback of magic" with Beauty and the Beast, but to me that's the last classic. I loved these old cardboard drawn classics like, The Aristocats, 101 Dalmatians (original), Robin Hood, Cindarella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and - of course - The Jungle Book (original).

Robin Hood of the Ballads say King was Edward. a Prioress of Kirkly..here we go.. a Prioress is a woman in charge of nuns.. and Kirkly in 1400s England during reign of King Edward means "Church Fields".. later on, that place Kirkly was renamed the Benefice of Lower Wensleydale.. there are 6 churches there that make a face.. Look at St. Marys Church.. just about 350 yards east is Hornby Castle.. Home of the Conyers at one time.. Sir John Conyers Jr was the Robin Hood of the Ballads aka Robin of Redesdale.. just not the first to use name... he was leader of the York Knights.. Sir Robert Hulderne was Robin of Holderness..he was Captain of the York Rebels.. there is only one record of a man using name Friar Tuck in 1417 and 1429.. Sir John Conyers was in mid 20s age when he met Friar Tuck age mid 50s : )
