I love the way the exhaust flows with the lines of the bike. You've done a great custom job pal.

Definitely a complete different direction than I'm going but it looks really good. I guess that speaks to how customizable these bikes really are. I sold my crotch rocket to not kill my back. So I'm getting 3 inch foot control extensions and mini ape hangers that are both currently being shipped. My company sells Freedom exhaust and I love that 2 into 1 Combat exhaust sound. I did extensive research on seats and I ended up going with Saddlemen solo even though I could have gotten a discount on a Mustang seat. Still undecided on the headlight fairing, but I'm thinking about just paint matching the factory one to match the tank and fenders atm. I haven't dug into suspension research yet, but I heard K tech makes rear shocks that can give the bike some extra height for us taller guys.

I follow a lot of nice Indian Scout Bobber builds but I have to say this is the nicest build to my liking as I would build it myself.

Nicely done, like the 240 rear, I have the same 2019 Indian Scout Bobber, same color, same pipe, placed a Dynojet PVC, Map# M29-002-023, I placed Continental White Walls on my bike, with a 180 Rear, stock sized front, I also have a Mother Road Custom springer seat, and a a Stainless steel front brake line which did provide better braking performance. Last, bronze clutch and brake levers and radiator protector. Be safe and all the best,

I am an ex 2 stroke 250cc dirt bike rider now 45 and so want 1 of these, was deff weirded out by that forward foot controls. That mid controls seems way more my style. Was that a very hard conversion? Love what you did with her. Simply awesome by the way.

Biggest drawback: lack of front brake power. It’s a single disk. I have since put on a brembo caliper with 320 floating disk. But if you are used to duals on your sport bike, this is a lot of mass for a single.

Hey mate love your ride ….it’s gorgeous! I ride a Yamaha XJR1300 but will have to leave it here when I move to the US in May. Love the Scout for its performance and low seat height - moving to be with my girl and will take her pillion riding -so need a low bike. I prefer mid controls. Do you know any good Indian Scout mechanics in the Orlando FL region who can install mid-controls? The dealers don’t seem very helpful when I rang them about this - I’ll go to Miami if that’s what it takes …any suggestions? Greetings from Oz 🇦🇺

I got the stock bike with 550 miles on it off auction, new bike repo’d. 10k, it was mint condition. My labor was free, just parts, biggest expense was wheels at $1500...

Beautiful build. I see that's a Corbin seat. I have a Corbin seat on my Indian as well and love it. I'm waiting on parts to do the 240 in the rear but I'm trying to figure out the seat once I get to that part. I have the Classic Solo seat and want to make it work. Any ideas ? I'd hate to have to buy another one.
@dblahnick
@dblahnick 3 жыл бұрын
The classic is their stocker style that mounts to the front of the rear fender no? I had to put my “fender R&D” on hold as I’m re-modeling my home, but that’s a major open item; how to mount an effective rear fender with a solo seat like mine (off shelf very expensive designer solutions avail. from one outfit in Europe). So you need a 240 radius fender that somehow could preserve the classic solo seat/mount. I’ve got my steel 240 bobbed fender, toying with brackets machined at a local shop, it’s just a matter of staring at the puzzle until The light bulb goes off ;)

@@dblahnick .......Ahhh kind of what I figured but not hoped for. ( my seat was close to $800 ( heated ) ) It'll kill me if I can't get it to work, but if there's a will there's a way. I ordered the twisted chopper fender for the Indian bobber, but it's not a direct bolt on, I'll wait til it comes and see what I'm going to do with it, prob cut it down a little. I don't want to hide alot of the rubber on the 240. Along with that tank machine sells a couple of brackets you mount on the frame to secure the top of the fender. Like you said once everything is laid out I'll have to start brainstorming. thanks for the quick response.

Does the seat make you slip when you accelerate? Thinking about this Corbin vs Mother Road Customs. They seem to have little more support in the back.

How do you like the seating posture with the mid controls? Is it comfortable?
@dblahnick
@dblahnick 3 жыл бұрын
More comfortable for me based solely on the fact you are more “locked in” on a bike with such ergo’s. This bike, with 245 rear and mid controls with more racer friendly bars is a chimera: used for short hops & curvy roads where that rear defeats the ability to get too aggressive at the turn in, but is super stable of course at the cruise. Looks very cool, fun to build, master of none.

@@dblahnick are your knees higher than your hips on the mid controls? Any pics you can post in the seated position would be helpful. The forward controls are a show stopper for me, but if mid controls will work, I may move forward. Appreciate the help.

No, with the type of riding you’ll be doing on a short range bobber you can choose a number of quality brands that make shocks for the Indian.
