All Driver Models from NASCAR 09 (Cup).

As you can see, EA got very, very lazy doing these. Some of them are down right hilarious.

And if you look at the uniform's pants... The "Sports" in EA Sports's name uses the 1993-05 font, while the shirt has the 2006-later font. Consistency (just like TNT's obsession with tire squeals and Indycar sound effects) is a bitch

0:20 for those wondering. I think the reason Casey Mears has an all black suit is because he’s not featured in the European PS2 version of NASCAR 09 because I think Kellogg’s got into controversy in for having more sugar in their cereal than they should’ve. Kinda weird how that happened. 1:00 in NASCAR 07 Hamlin’s driver model had a mustache for some reason and looked like the fantasy drivers face models 3:05/3:22/3:48 one example of how the suit colors swap between scenes and it doesn’t stay the same 4:13 in JC1424’s nascar 09 season mode race for Atlanta (4th to last video on the series I think) Edwards looked like Bowyer with a huge chin

Speaking of, Kyle Busch isn't in the PAL release of NASCAR 08 either. Wonder what color his suit would be if your theory's true?

You can tell they didn't bother touch anything besides the minimum effort stuff past 2005/2006. So many well-known drivers with generic or reused faces, it's insane

I did some digging In NASCAR 08 Dave Blaney looks like Kasey Kahne as well, Ken Schrader looks like Dale Jarrett. Mike Wallace/Jon Wood/David Gilliland/Jeff Green share the same driver model (same as Montoya) with a generic looking beige skin tone and mustache. Also for the Busch series some drivers do not look the same as they look in cup for 08/09. For example Jeff Burton’s Busch Series driver model looks like Scott Wimmer (who he shared the 29 with during 2007/08 winning the owners championship during 2007). I also noticed at 2:20 and 2:40 the game can’t decide what the driver models of Travis Kapil and David Gilliland look like for some reason.

Madden was still really good on PS2 at this point though. On Xbox 360 and PS3 it was getting back to form also. I’m not sure about their other franchises though. It seems to me with EA it was the early to mid 2010s when they really stopped caring about anything other than microtransactions.

I really love Nascar 09 ont he PS2 cause its really what got me into the sport as a whole, and going back and playing it its still really fun to me but oh my gosh im realizing all the corners cut

They have the drivers faces and models from NASCAR 2004 and 2005 Chase For the Cup but beyond that they don't even have the damn sponsors on the firesuits.

The sponsors seemed to be lost when the development of NASCAR 08 changed hands to Exient Entertainment, and when it was brought back to EA for NASCAR 09, they didn’t even bother to fix it.
