Emily, we have a similar eye shape and your eye makeup always gives you a such lifted effect that I’m always trying to achieve. So I rewatched some of you videos and I realized that when you put color in your crease you stop a little bit before the outside corner of your eye. Many other youtubers take the crease all the way out to the corner of the eye. So I’ve been trying your way and I’ve achieved the lifted look I’ve been looking for! Thank you!

I remember Cheryl Tiegs as the Cover Girl model for their Clean makeup line! Late 70's I believe. I really enjoy their mascaras and their TruBlend bush in Love Me is really pretty. Love those Milani blushes on you. Lovely look!

Hi Emily I was on the verge of being excited when you pulled out the cooler toned palette with those purples and turquoises, but alas no we got the much more familiar warm toned palette demoed. Overall as ever I enjoyed the video, but as a pale/cool toned person I would never wear those warm tones and would have liked seeing that other palette chosen - just as something a bit different. Autumn/Fall tones for me don't include anything orange based and instead I use green/khaki, mauve, plum and burgundy shades. The cooler toned palette had more of a Winter or party vibe and something a little less seen in affordable brands. Best wishes.

I remember in the late 90s/early 2000s L’Oréal made these single cream shadows in a clear package. They were pastel frosty shades and I had a light frost pink and I ROCKED it as a brown bone highlight. 😆 oh the frost pink and blue we wore in those days.

I'm in the same age bracket as Em and I would imagine many gals watching her channel are also in the same age bracket. It's not that we are not pretty without make up but, despite the face creams and care we do, make up just instabtly transforms that 37 yro skin in such a satisfying way. I feel like those Milani powder blushes would be great to mix together and get whatever kind of tone you want! I feel like people often forget you can MIX blush and other face products. If a blush is too deep I just dip back and forth between my blush and my face powder and it lightens it!

Ah the parent/teacher conferences. My daughter is autistic and every year has an IEP (Individualized Education Program) meeting to assess and go over behavioural goals and whatnot. I always hold my breath a bit before the conferences. They have not always been completely positive but at 18 years she is evening out..I absolutely adore her. Emily, thank you for your great videos. They give me wonderful and much needed breaks ❤️. Also, I am going to CVS and will pick up the Covergirl eyeshadow palette.

I've been using the Covergirl clean makeup foundation for YEARS! Love it. Keep going back to it. You talked about the kids needing to know about the shimmering sands, but I think y'all need to know about the country woods quad. That is definitely the daily worker. I have been using those colors as long as I have the foundation. Along with the foundation in classic ivory, country woods with glazed ginger (no longer can find it 😭😭) I used soft sable cheekers for my wedding makeup. I did use a Maybelline wine colored lip liner & Revlon wine with everything for my lips. I used a mascara from a brand no longer around. Covergirl though is the brand I keep going back to even after dabbling with high end products.

So much new cruelty free stuff! I’m intrigued by the reformulated covergirl eyeshadow, because their shadow tends to be a bit powdery and not pigmented, too many shimmers, not enough mattes. It might have passed muster 10 years ago, but not today lol. Hopefully they’ve updated to a more modern quality formula.

Hey Emily. I always love your videos. They help me forget the real world for a minute. I want to say I’m glad your parents are both ok and we’re both taken care of very well. My Nana (paternal grandmother) had a stroke recently and was in the hospital for a few days. She’s now in an inpatient rehab facility and is doing well thankfully. Thank you for reminding me that even though you are a makeup channel you are still a person with loved ones.

Hey Em, loved this try it out video and omg the Charlotte Tilbury video was so good too! I'm low key wanting to buy all the things you mentioned. But I also had this thought, have you thought about doing a "this is how to apply makeup" series? Like going through and explaining: where to put highlighter/bronzer, what some products do, how to do your brows, eye looks, etc. I ask because as a woman that didn't learn makeup from a female figure in her life, I've had to pick up things from KZbin and I still get some stuff wrong (hello contour). And I wonder if there are other men and women out there like me who would love to learn the basics or even some more advanced techniques. I think the way you talk to the audience and the explanations you do in videos are great and I love to hear you talk about how products work. I'd love to learn so much more from you.

Something I LOVE about CG is they are THEE ONLY brand that I’ve tried that offers an EXACT shade match for me no matter the time of year. I have a VERY COOL undertone & I get really tan in the summer. And their TruBlend line is absolute perfection I’ve never gotten a better shade match. The original formula (not matte) reminds me big time of the WnW Tinted Hydrator too which I also love.

That eyeshadow palette is a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury big palette in Pillow Talk. That plummy brown and several others remind me of the big Pillow Talk. Just without the really cherry reds at the end of the PT palette. Cover girl duped the more wearable less scary shades.

Hey Emily! I'm wondering if you've seen the newest limited collection from Wet n' Wild, with Little Twin Stars. Some of the makeup products look beautiful- although not very fall or Holidays appropriate imo- but WnW can be very hit or miss with their special releases. I know you are really familiar with their formulas, so I'm quite interested about your opinion on that. Also wishing a safe and quick recovery to your mum! Most mamas are so used to being the one taking care of everyone else, so they may be rather resistant to the idea of taking some time for themselves. I'm having a similar experience with my mother currently 😅

You know what I appreciate about that classic CG foundation? That it seems to have a legitimately neutral undertone, especially for a "medium" light shade. At least on camera, it looks neither overly yellow or pink toned; it almost reminds me of the nearly gray-tinged K-beauty BB creams, or the beloved CYO Lifeproof. I'm half-tempted to seek it out just to have a truly neutral foundation shade in my collection (I'm light but not the fairest of fair and given that it's kind of sheer, I prefer to err on the side of going slightly deeper than paler, I feel it looks less aging on me).
