Only by understanding how dominant LCW was as an old man against thr current best players can you truly understand the heights of which LD took badminton to. LD's peak is Usaine Bolt's 9.58 - there are Olympic champions now that win because everyone is slower, not because they are getting closer to Bolt.

It's not that LCW is bad. He is clearly in top form here and not playing bad at all. But prime LD(2008-2012) is in different league. He uses his half coast wrist smash to finish off even a mild liftings of LCW which is mind blowing considering how much wrist power u need for that.

I prefer this match Lin Dan because LCW in this match is way better than 2008 Olympic LCW. It's so terrifying to match up against this version of Lin Dan because he never let his opponent plays attack and mostly make them just play defend, the only way to get points against this version of Lin Dan is to hope him making errors lol. Prime Lin Dan is just too unstoppable and superb as always, coming from a LCW fanboi btw.

This LCW is 2x wayy better than 2008 LCW it's just that this Lin Dan is a beast (i get that 2008 Lin Dan is great because of his superb powah and speed but that's just it LCW at that time also played so damn bad. 2009 - 2011 Lin Dan with his calm footwork + anticipation + power + maestro plays are what makes him more superior compare to his 2008 self, you'll know this if you play badminton long enough). Don't be too bias and look into the bigger and quality picture.
