I think that if pearl met Cleo in the beginning. Pearl could’ve told Cleo that there was a pig farm that someone had build for food on the other side of the map but didn’t know if was on the left or right side of the map. In turn that would make it a goose chase of something that doesn’t exist.

The thing I love about the secrets, is because they are all so random, and everyone has one, each episode is so chaotic. And everyone assumes if you are doing something weird its probably a secret task, but instead of sabotaging they seem to help/join in. But a weird number of times, they weren't tasks, they were just someone doing something random and it escalating out of hand (like everyone lying down in the dome house)

Watching everyone's tasks interact and end up in other POV's is always so funny. Probably my favorite from this week is Cleo losing her pig, which is then found by a dumbfounded Joel.

I feel like Pearl doesn't know what a wild goose chase is? A wild goose chase would be like asking someone to gather an item that's impossible to get. Or leaving a sign somewhere with a clue to a treasure that doesn't exist. The trail she left DOES have a achievable goal, it has an end

If it were me doing pearls task I'd probably have confirmed with Grian whether mob heads was on - i am 99% sure they are not. Then go to Jimmy (coz he's gullible) or one of the hermits (because they'll be so used to the heads) and tell them you desperately need a salmon/cod head for your secret task - and will give him your heart for 5 sessions. 'you can keep all the fish I just need the head' and then say you need a couple of other bits and leave him to it. And that's a wild goose chase.

they should have an admin they could clarify rules and secrets with, the rules seem so arbitrary (you can basically say exactly what your task is as long as you don't say it's your task and you paraphrase it, but if you say what your task is after you have completed it, you have failed) IMO; a.) if someone can correctly guess your exact secret before you complete it, you must fail. This is pretty strict, so broad guesses don't count. b.) if you complete your task, its complete, doesn't matter if you tell someone (perhaps do something like what they did with scar, if you talk before you redeem it, you must upgrade to a hard task. Only if they really want to count that as a fail)

The admin, Sonam, is online during the sessions. They fixed something in episode 1 and you can see them type in chat. The rules are decided as a group and by the cc. If it’s in the video it means it’s fine or they’ll discuss it later.

I feel like Cleo probably got away with too much this episode lol, she paraphrased her task several times and even made it clear why she wanted to know how long the session was I also agree with the completing thing!! A lot of people failing is just them getting tired from a long session and forgetting to press it first

Just wanted to say y'all - the rule about not telling a secret BEFORE pressing the button, even AFTER completing, is for tension and to leave more failure open (do we want everyone to be green for 7 episodes?) and it will be import so yellow names can still call out tasks! It will being tension of people running towards the button away from yellows and it makes it clear when a secret is completed! Now some tasks like, "a goose chase", is more interprative and she got screwed stating her secret, but there were ways for her to do it where she would know it was completed! Others like etho will jump scare after multiple times to ensure they can press the button, she could have as well. Also Grian has said so many times the rules, made a intro video, and they have meetings we dont see behind the scene. If you want to be frustrated she fails, be frustrated she said she succeeded and still read her task aloud and not pressing the button. (Cant wait for people opinions on this rule to change with more Yellows and reds like i said)

These compilations are great since I don't really have the time nor attention span to watch everybody's episodes. As for improvements, I have a few suggestions: 1) Link all of the videos in the description along with the names and timestamps, it would be a lot better for people who want to watch out a whole episode. 2) Include a little bit more after they complete their tasks, I found it a bit weird how it'd cut off just as they were about to explain their task to whoever happened to be nearby when they hit tbe button. 3) I'd love to see other people's reactions to others' tasks. For example, people noticing their doors had moved. Although I understand that would be a lot more work to include haha.
