I'm bothered on how Clotis often forget that Cloud started to wear all these cool person facade because he wanted to be noticed by Tifa and actually impress her back in Nibelheim. And yet they say that Cloud is his real self when they're together when in fact, he always acts like a cool Ex-Soldier to make himself appeal strong in front of her.

@theirbrotherhoodandfriends6101 I love Tifa as a character and she clearly cares for Cloud, but it doesn't make it easier that the same promise she made Cloud do for her was already made (and broken) by her other group of boy-friends growing up. I really feel the devs did a major disservice saying things to muddy the waters when they don't quite make sense (like saying Cloud is his true self with Tifa in the Remake resolution scene...How? And when else is he NOT himself?). Just feels so off. I agree with you that people take little tidbits and turn it way out of proportion. Cloud was never actually Zack or even remotely close.

All three dates were cute. Yuffie ofc like siblings. Tifa’s was okay, I don’t understand why they always need to take it back to past and make Tifa sad not enjoying the present, but for once I can say it was cute without Tifa snapping at Cloud and actually listening to him. The Cloud in her date was more the real Cloud which we can’t say about rebirth chapter 12 CT date, but it’s nice seeing two old friends enjoying the date and both awkward but not misunderstanding each other at least. Well, Clerith date is the peak of romance!! Cloud thinking about how Aerith influenced him by only begin by his side, once again beach, fireworks, magical music and those two teasing but begin comfortable with each other!! And the reference to chapter 8 date with Aerith “I leave that to your imagination!” Both of them using that and Cloud talking about his true self on the beach where Aerith told about her future self he will love. I’m taking it as hint Clerith canon part 3!!

Wow. This is the first time Cloud has been this honest with someone. To say that a person changes you into someone different when you're with them... This certainly has some romantic implications, I'm sorry but it's really hard to believe their relationship is "just a friendship".

My two cents: I like Cloud and Aerith more, and it's canon both girls like Cloud and he likes both. And none of this Aerith likes Cloud because of Zack bullshit. Even if it were canon Cloud liked Aerith more, he doesn't get to choose her no matter what, and Aerith wouldn't want Cloud to be depressed and alone anyways. So I think he ends up with Tifa eventually in the AC continuity. And that's not to say she's a second-choice. Life is complicated. If Aerith somehow comes back in pt 3, Imma jump onto her train.

In general I always thought he is so awkward with Aerith because he wants her feelings and Tifa is obviously into him, so she doesnt intimidate him so much.

Cloud is trying to be real with Aerith and she just relentlessly teases him. It's all a big game to her and Cloud doesn't know how to feel about that. With Tifa, I feel that shy awkward chemistry, but he can't say what he's feeling because he's waiting for her to take the lead. But she is shy and insecure too.

I think they took Aerith as Tifa and Tifa as Aerith. They do this strategy in OG, remake and rebirth and I see they do the same here. That is true about Tifa we will put on Aerith, what’s true about Aerith we will give Tifa lol
