With my tuning set my alpha does 69 at level one, which makes the combos hit hard from there and going forward. I can only imagine if I had a PUR costume. That being said I always get alpha to 4 first then beta then max alpha while getting gamma up. I use beta only for combos and playing around cover. Gamma is useful and great for getting a hollow purple but not my priority until later when I can push people deep into storm.
