The problem Ethan faces really is that Heisenberg is unpredictable to Ethan, and wants power. He makes it very clear that he doesn't care for Rose and also wants to use her power. His plan involves Miranda performing the ritual on Rose, which at this point in the story, for all we know, means she wouldn't be Rose anymore. Mother Miranda would also only need to offer him power, more power, which would be real easy with the other three Lords lying dead already. So Ethan runs the risk of having to fight Miranda and Heisenberg together, whereas here at least he's more likely to take them on one at a time, which is a much more fair fight. I don't think it's a good deal to take, too many things can go wrong.

I will never get tired of magneto powered heroes/villains doing the knife in a board trick. But also, Heisenbergs accent is definitely a Southern pre-civil war orgy in my mouth. I used to have an accent I did for Colonel Mustard in Clue which was "all European accents put into a blender, drunken, then vomited back up again" (and if memory serves there was another round of blending and drinking, but I'm not sure.)
