If you want to play gauntlets, you can try get every coin in every gauntlet level. (That's what i have done).

The payload orbs act like trigger orbs, meaning you are not allowed to buffer them, which is pretty annoying.

Every once in a while, you should redo this challenge to see if you can make it further. That or continue until you actually manage all levels in 50 which wouldn't be too hard. But every time you lose 50 lives, you restart completely of course

Tip: the square orbs in that payload level (or any other level) for some reason you cant buffer them at all so you have to click while your icon is already on top of the orb

I also started playing GD 6 years ago, periodically leaving and returning, but I beat most its content starting August 2020 and ending in the end of August 2022. After that, I didn't beat any map pack or gauntlet, except Flappy Weird (though it didn't actually help anything) I have like 3 gauntlets left (Demon, Doom; The Behemoth in Death) (11 uncompleted gauntlet demons and 11 map packs (12 uncompleted map pack demons). If I really try, maybe I'll finish 2 more demon packs for 130 coins, but it's not like I want it that much. I more like want for new content, which is why I'm waiting for 2.2

the orbs aren't buggy, they're made in a way to make the hitbox smaller, so you have to press when you're directly on top of the orb. But yeah that’s a bug, you just need to understand the bug for passing this part.

The orbs at the beginning of payload are triggers so you can't buffer them, it's not really a bug but it's a bad idea

Yeah, I also kinda struggled with it back then, so then I simply beat it (and Dark Drop) on PC. It also really surprised me that he was struggling with Drippy Dub. The day I beat Scarlet Surge (after several months and several hundreds attempts), I was at my dacha, then I instantly downloaded Drippy Dub and beat it literally in 5-9 attempts. That was a nice, easy and enjoyable level. Perhaps he just doesn't expect all that? (While I was completely expecting all that, so I liked it) (Though maybe Drippy Dub is not good for challenges like that, while it's easy for beginners on first playthrough)

Back then I had an awful cheap $150 phone, so it took me several months to beat Scarlet Surge, while Kappaclysm and Dark Drop were beaten on pc Now I have a better $300 phone (Samsung A51), but its input is still slow compared to a $33 gaming mouse and a $83 Xbox One gamepad, so now I play GD on PC

In the final level of the bonus gauntlet, Payload, the orbs have some thing put inside them and are purposefully unbufferable. For that reason you either have to time it, or mash like EVW did. I think that there is a trigger in the orb that is bigger than the orb, so that when you try to buffer it buffers the trigger.
