those two zeus duos + jolted made for such a fun lightning-based build :0 I thought spreading the pool so thin could overly ruin the synergy of the run but zeus is one of those god options that really just rewards throwing more shit onto the build by putting bolts everywhere

You're the first youtuber i've ever watched play hades, and its super fascinating watching someone who has so much knowledge of the game play it. It honestly makes me want to learn more about the mechanics of the game; duo prerequisites as well as other stuff. It would be so awesome to be able to plan out a build rather than stumble across it blindly.

This was a fun run different for sure. I'm now going to happy rant about darksouls Darksouls offers an easy way to beat it two in fact. Sorcery because it's just utterly broken and it gets stronger as the game progresses. Or the method of killing enemies near a camp fire and rinse an repeat until you feel comfortable enough to cheese it. I genuinely hope that fromsoft never changes how they do that formula. Not because I want to gate keep but the satisfaction you get when you beat a boss that you've died to again and again (Ornstein and Smough) it releases so much of that yes I am awesome feeling that no other game has ever given me in the same way. When I first picked up each weapon I just mash every button to find out what everything did. Hope this helped anyone who was planning to pick up the game

On the subject of TV frames, I think the end result will be it just being part of the artistic palatte like aspect ratios. Sure some movies will surely choose their framerate brainlessly and it'll annoy people, but I think other movies will do it deliberately to positive effect, and possibly sometimes even have different parts in different framerates. I'm not exactly sure of the details, but I would guess that it would matter most for action scenes and low framerate would make them feel more chaotic and jerky (similar to the framedropping in Mad Max Fury Road), while higher framerates would allow you to make even chaotic scenes feel a bit more purposeful and smooth. I imagine that an out of place 60 FPS scene could be a cool way to portray a character in dangerous circumstances who understands what's going on and is sure of themself, such as the stock conclusion of Marvel-style movies where the character has a personal revelation which makes them finally ready to fight the antagonist on equal footing.

What happens if you havn't unlocked Demeter yet and then get all the gods before Theseus? Will he just invoke a god you have acquired for that run? Because with all my runs I noticed he only summons gods you don't have in that run.

According to the wiki, if you have boons from all the gods he calls for aid from Artemis.

Sekiro is my favourite FromSoft game personally. The combat system is so satisfying and it doesn't have the inconveniences of DS games. 10/10

You can't have it in the final battle unfortunately, but you *could* use it in Tartarus, to say you got boons from everyone in one run. All the Olympians, Hermes, Chaos, Hades, and Bouldy

I liked Dark Souls 3, but my big issue with it (aside from being very "obtuse" as you said) was that for a game which prioritizes precise gameplay, the controls feel really janky (especially on M&K which I tried first, but even on controller). And I hear the earlier games are even worse in that regard.

I completely agree with the hollow knight commentary. I absolutely love the game, and have sunk more hours than I'm proud of into it, but it was a miserable experience for the first 5-6 hours. My reccomendation for a metroidvania is ori and will o the wisps. Similar gameplay, but has a better first couple hours. (Plus i genuinely like ori more than hollow knight, even though hollow knight is objectively a better game)

I wonder if its possible to do a family favorites + shackles build. Like get as many god boons but try to keep the attack/spesh/cast empty. for shackles...

@@mefcalols4446 not really tbh lots of gods have boons that compliment a shackles build. Fountain Drink, Snow Burst (cast builds), dash boons can still be used so divine dash brilliant riposte or splash dash (if we remove those then rip), call boons also (unless also removing those), exit wounds, pressure points

Iirc if you don't have core boons (attack/special/cast) it will be prioritised. Sounds hard to do, unless you purge the boons and grab the shackles later

As far as I know the most you can have in one run is 4. So I assume this is modded?

Not modded! Just uses the rules really well and a bit of luck. Usually 4 is the max but you can force 5 using the shop (3 gods prior to shop, a new god in the shop, and roll room for another new god prior to buying the boom in the shop) And then it’s just a matter of using keepsakes to force the other 3

He can't use sigil due to the nature of the run, he has to use 3 god keepsakes to get the 3 missing gods in the pool using a keepsake in tart is moot because it doesn't add a god to the god pool it just guarantees you see a god in tart

22:25 I have very strong opinions on this subject. Specifically, the opinion that lack of walkbacks is one of the main reasons why Elden Ring is worse than Dark Souls 1. They're there so you have time to process, and in the best cases (like the walkback to Gwynn) they even serve as a teaching moment to prepare you for the final boss on less threatening terms. Elden Ring was trying to uphold a reputation for difficulty instead of just being as hard as the devs felt like making it though, so I think it needed the walkbacks even more and it seriously suffered for their absence. Elden Ring is also worse because it makes you fight Sekiro enemies with a Dark Souls 3 toolkit that has no way to make doing so fun. Lack of walkbacks or similar downtime was also what burned me out on Cuphead and the Godmaster content for HK. That said, I think Elden Ring is, despite being IMO a worse game, still an easier rec than DS1 because in order to enjoy DS1 you have to be the sort of person who can enjoy design which is, in a thoughtful and deliberate manner, user-hostile. For what Elden Ring offers I think there are better games though, and I'm not sure the same can be said of DS1.
