This was a perfect finale for Halo. I wouldn't have minded a new trilogy for the Halo universe expanding on the forerunners but I think it should have been called something else instead of Halo. I also think 343 should have stuck with the Bungie lore and made the Forerunners ancient humans.

Sort of - that was sort of what Bungie hinted and implied with the first three games - humanity was a galaxy spanning advanced race that met their match with the flood, and created and fired the Halos in a last-ditch attempt to stop it. With only a tiny portion of humanity left, having lost their technology and knowledge, they reverted to a tribal structure and started again. But the forerunners/humanity planned for this, and left behind the monitors to guide humanity back to their former glory. At least, that's what it was going to be. But then with the release of the Cryptum trilogy, and with 343i canonizing it through halo 4, that plot died. It honestly would have been much more interesting, offering a better explanation of why the forerunners called humanity reclaimers, why Spark called Chief a forerunner, and why humanity interacted so instinctively with forerunner technology.

I'm more of a Halo 2er myself. Halo 3's story didn't get good until The Storm where stuff actually happened. Until that point it's just go from point A to point B. They also really cut back on the story told in cinematics. Still though, I replay The Ark , The Covenant, and Halo quite often since they are great levels

So much awesome stuff! *The most thrills: Halo 3* Sir... finishing this fight. *Most authentic feeling: Halo 3 ODST* I personally like being only but a human much more than being half a ton of a super soldier. *The badass that started the whole thing: HALO CE* As being the first, Halo 1 it will always in my opinion be the one that deserves the most respect. *Best visually and graphically: Halo Reach* Could also argue that this one has the best gameplay due to the introduction to the semi auto rifle, but all in all i think the gameplay is solid and the same in all the games. *An unasked for joke: Halo 4* This is how i see that whole game: Halo 4 : Recap Rebooted

cody blablabla This is both my personal opinion and (sorta) entertainment law, but Halo CE is the best out of all of them. When something is the first in a series, it sets the standard for the rest. For instance, Halo CE made the plasma rifle blue with markings, therefore that is how it should look. They made the Flood have a greenish theme to them, so sequels should follow this. Do you see my point? Also, I do realize that you posted this a LONG time ago, so I don't expect you to be reading this. I rest my case.

Justin Carson Doesn't make a difference if its a new trilogy or not. This was the perfect ending for the Chief. Adding to that, the Reclaimer Trilogy (is that the name for 4-6?) has only one game and has already managed to take a steaming dump all over the canon.

GENERAL ZOD It really should have. It was the perfect setup for the Chief's death, and if only a few things were changed, the whole Halo series could have ended beautifully. However, we probably wouldn't have Reach, and 343 wouldn't have a chance to start making Halo games, much less redeem themselves. So, I guess it's all working out. (Maybe. 343 might stay piles of dog shit burritos. I dunno.)

Glueman Degrossi An infection spore is not the same as an Infection Form. You'll have to look up for yourself what a spore is but as far as I know Infection Forms can infect Thel they just don't because Artiber has plot armor, also shields destroy infection forms. As for chief I'm pretty sure Spartans cannot be transformed into the flood via Infection form.

Definitely the highlight of the game, introducing a great new character as well as providing a look at the Covenant side of the story. Halo 2 is underrated. And there's nothing cooler than the Arbiter and the Chief fighting side by side in Halo 3.

after fighting for a long time, the forerunners realized they were fighting a losing battle and made halo's and fired them. the didact was one of the ones against using the halo's. ultimately it was used and the humans were to take the place of the forerunners after the reseeding of the galaxy, to be reclaimers. seriously, look it all up. i cant do it justice, just know that the story and stuff was never fcked up by "nazisoft" i do agree that halo 4

@areeb haidery- the flood are precursers if you read seilentium it states that the precursers who survived the war with the forrunners either rendered themselves dormant as green powder( the powder found by ancient humanity) or left the galaxy. I believe the flood will return in the next games seeing as humanity and the races of the covanant reside in the spiral arm of the galaxy the rest of the galaxy are still vastly unexplored
