WOW... I had a look on Google maps at what the tree looked like prior to the storm, so lucky nobody was injured. Well done everyone that came to the rescue. Take care and love to all xx

Some people don't know who their neighbours are in some areas of the country. One hour on the chain saw with me needs one day of clearing up. Well done to all of you.

We spent most of last weekend out moving fallen trees with our JCB loader. making it possible for people from the local villages could go about their daily life. Think in total we moved 8 trees. We wouldn't get paid but as farmers it's all about helping each other

Many hands make light work. It's great when everyone comes together in an emergency. Quite a dangerous piece of road there. You did well to post a man at each end, on the bends. Everyone in hi-viz jackets.

This happens in the country side and used to happen in towns when people lived in terrace house that sadly were not in good condition. They were flattened and huge tower blocks built. Yes the people had a nice new flat and a few neighbors on their floor but that was it. Come home from work jump in the lift and zoom up to your floor, just maybe there was someone putting out the rubbish's so a quick chat. My uncle had a farm in N. Wales the next door neighbor had two cows for home milking, he fell ill so cousin John would do the twice daily milking, feeding and muck out. He would then walk home with a 2pt container of fresh milk a third of which would be cream.

The guys stacking made picking it up hard work. Nice straight stuff and putting all the butts at one end would've made it easy. Great effort by all tho nice to support your neighbours👍

That is quite a big tree. Hope there is no other damage. Did Farmer P lend a hand with all his specialized equipment?
@timgalley439115 минут бұрын
Farmer P has a professional tree company that has to comply with Health & Safety legislation, council & highways permissions, risk assessments, insurances, etc etc. He rightly got out of there as fast as possible. Good community spirit of course, all playing together.
