I’m so happy this exists! Me and my partner are huge Nabokov fans (her converting me) and I just finished Lolita last night and immediately started Ahdah. I thought I was reading it wrong too lol. You guys are right about the first few chapters though, he is just having fun with the grandiosity of it all (though you guys were still able to make a lot more sense of them). Super helpful, I’m glad you guys made this.

I found reading it outloud helped the 1st 5 chapters make more sense.

I enoyed rhis, guys. Thanks. I'm currently finishing the book. Re: the beginning, it's interesting that Nabokov writes "Karenina, "rather than "Karenin." Nabokov believed Toystoy's title should not have an "a" at the end.

FYI, granoblastic is a common description in geology - very common to see in marbles and other similar metamorphic rocks... I first read this book after picking it up from a bookstore in Mexico on a geology field trip in college...
