Dear anyone who is knowledgeable of the arts, what kind of animation does IDV employ in the conception of their character videos?

he goes to the casino alot and then was invited by a royal family to play the violin concert for them (also apparently they didnt treat him good). also he sold himself to the devil for his music (somehow) and he cheats on his gf (andrea) cuz of the devil influencing him ig? i think thats his lore in a nutshell (sorry i havent read his lore properly)

Antonio was a talented violinist but he also gambled and drank a lot, Antonio was hired by a rich family to compose the greatest piece HOWEVER they kept him locked up (essentially luring him), he sold his soul to the devil and finished a piece in one night, he was allowed to leave, and is insinuated to have become abusive towards Andrea, a woman he fancied. He went to the manor to try and get rid of the devil and because he was told Andrea was there. His ONCE skin is what would've happened if he succeeded in getting rid of the devil.

Since the other replies are shorter and lack some details, I'll do my best to explain Antonio's lore if anyone wants a more in-depth explanation. Antonio was a talented violinist since he was young, but it never truly made him happy. He says this in the deduction where various medical problems are detailed, so one can assume his illnesses had a big part in his unhappiness. He decided to fill the hole in his life with gambling and alcohol. He ended up with a lot of debt, and was put in jail after having his violin seized. The royal family released him so that he could pay off his debt by being their royal violinist, but they wanted to keep him trapped inside the palace. He saw this as a gilded cage, and wanted to escape, but they wouldn't let him leave unless he played a song with only one string on his violin. Antonio's first lore letter, written by a Court Maestro, seems to detail the night he made a deal with the devil, describing the sight like this: "a menacing demon mask dropped on the floor... Master Antonio being pulled to the wall by his hands and feet, as though drawn by invisible strings... And his beloved violin, playing itself before his body..." So, with the help of the devil, he played a one-string song and was allowed to leave the palace, but his reputation had been destroyed. (A cool in-game detail related to this is his Torn Poster accessory.) He continued to play, but refused to play the one-string song ever again. Despite letting him leave, the royal family still wanted him back, so they tampered with his violin, causing something to happen with all but one of the strings when he played on-stage. This led to him playing that song and coming under the devil's control once again. That is what we see in his backstory video. Antonio's second character day letter, written by Antonio himself, brings another character into the mix; his ex-girlfriend, Andrea. It is a letter filled with flowery words, poetry, and apologies, as well as detailing what happened to drive them apart. Andrea understood his music deeper than anyone else. She would sing along as he played. He had refused to play the devil's song ever again, despite Andrea begging him to, and even threatening to break up with him if he didn't. But one day, he gave in, played the one-string song, and became possessed by the devil, who used Antonio's body to hurt Andrea in some way, most likely by hitting her with his violin bow, and she ran away as he regained control and was flooded by fear and regret. He performed in different places, searching for her, but couldn't find her. In fact, she seemed to be missing from the public entirely. He was approached by the owner of a theater, who directed him to Oletus Manor. They told him he would find Andrea there, and that he could get rid of the devil once and for all. So that's Antonio's lore thus far. If I missed anything or got anything wrong, let me know. His character day is coming up, so pretty soon this won't be fully up to date, but oh well.

@@whirm I recall having heard something similar to this before. I believe his name was Niccolo Paganini. He was also rumored to have had struck a pact with the Devil to perform a one-string song which would soar his popularity. Also rumored to have killed his wife, to whom he was (also rumored) to later be abusive, and that his violin strings were made of her hair. There were a lot of mystery and rumours shrouding his background. I don't remember much more because I was very little when I had to do a work about him once, but the core of his story never left my memory. It just reminded me of it.
