Calgary wins the trade if Vancouver doesn’t re-sign Lindholm. If Lindholm gets re-signed by Vancouver it’s a win-win situation.

depends.. in the short term if cup and or resigns then its a win. Calgary loses down the road if Hunter's stats were truly inflated on that high octane OHL team and he can't really live up to the expectations..

@@Mellowyellow8888 There’s no way Vancouver wins a Cup, teams that make the playoffs but are a team that’s been out of the playoff picture for years like Vancouver are upset & eliminated within the first 2 rounds. The only teams exempt to this are the expansion teams with Vegas & Seattle. Also don’t know how if 1 piece of the large amount of assets Calgary received doesn’t pan out as expected can make Vancouver look like winners.

@@garylister It’s simple really, Vancouver traded 5 valuable assets for 1 ☝️ player that has the potential of being just a rental. Back to my original comment Point Dexter, it’s an absolute win for Calgary and an L for Vancouver if Lindholm walks away in free agency or it’s an even fair trade if Lindholm extends. You definitely believed LA won the PL Dubois trade.

LOL Valuable assets, ok now I know you have no idea what you're talking about, they needed a good 2c who works well with high caliber players like the Canucks already have, Hunter is the guy with the highest top end and he won't even be in the show (if he makes it) for a couple more years, the first is the worst 1st round pick . they've had in over a decade and Kuzy on the top team in the league was a defensive liability. He's been a healthy scratch 10 times this year already. Canucks won and will continue to do so. @@CapsBrotha

Dear Mr Friedman, Vegas, or as they should be referred to as the Defending Stanley Cup Champions, Eichel - Stephenson - Karlsson, top 3 centers. Where does Lindholm fit in this Stanley Cup winning 3 top tier centers? Last playoffs they played essentially equal volumes of minutes, 20 mins per line, resulting in the volumes of points they achieved. "Why fix it if it ain't broke?" Its funny that Hunter Brzustewicz' was in the trade, in that younger brother Henry is playing for London, will be eligible in the '25 draft, both right shooting defensemen. Hey Calgary, maybe Vancouver, when they drafted both Brzustewicz and Celebrini, they seemed to have forgotten something....??

Just another bit, after you've just "disrespected" the Defending Stanley Cup Champions by not sending out a secondary invite to any other player on their roster... What's your interpretation in how Vegas receives the "no-invite" after seeing how many vancouver, toronto, colorado players were invited? (Mr Marek, way to go, cool)

Every single team (including Vegas) had one player chosen by the league. The remaining players, including the extra Canucks, Leafs and Avs were chosen by the fans. If Vegas doesn't have enough fans out there to get extra players voted in then that's a problem with their small fanbase. Maybe if they win some more Cups then they get larger fan support?
