HILLARIOUS!!! The hand that had the player ship it all in ( 3 hearts on the flop) and then show you he rivered you with Qc6c. I could not stop laughing.

that Q6 hand is just brutal af.....this is why exactly poker can be so frustrating and variance can simply just play such a huge role in the game. This exemplifys the importance of a bankroll and understand of variance and frustration in the game.

It was fun, though I like poker vlogs I can learn from. Even in this setting we could think about how the winner's bounty alters one strategy (beyond the idea that the winner of a hand is more incentivized to stay in pre-flop). Nonetheless, I always enjoy a Torelli vlog and am glad to help the algorithm.

Even in the most randamoized game, there will be a strategy that can be used. It would be interesting to work out the "optimum" strategy and tactics in this type of game - and that would not take away from the fun aspect.... I enjoyed this vlog; it was fun.

This is exactly the kind of donkey bingo that was in a private game I used to play. People were betting 1-10k on drawing high card out of the deck between hands. You just had to wait all night for a hand and print money if you could avoid a bad runout. I miss that game but I hated that game at the same time.

Well, I was definitely a winner in the game. I really only lost $ when the game degenerated into pineapple / PLO after the gamblers would get bored of NLH. The nights I could avoid getting sucked into that I did very well. Only had one real losing session there.

Hi Alec, at some stage it would be interesting to hear you talk about table selection and the reality of mid-stakes / high stakes games in your area. I hear you and others talk about the players at 10/20 being very good/conservative.

Gambling? FUN? Naw dude poker is about angrily muttering that you deserve all of a guy's money because he was supposed to turn probe 1/4 pot but he did half pot on this texture, and wasting everyone's time because you have to balance your flop tanking range. Also every time a new player sits down you ask what the blinds are even though you have been hardstuck in that $2/$5 for 7 years. You make inane comments at the poker table like "couldn't let you draw out on me" and "I didn't want to see any more spades!" thinking to yourself that you are a secret elite poker assassin because you secretly know what a range is. You try to dredge up your half-memorized Nash-equilibrium chart from GTOWizard in order to justify paying off a nit because you like unblock some straight draw he's supposed to have floated you on the flop with if he wasn't a nit. You tell yourself as he is stacking your money that he is supposed to have the busted straight draw so you have no choice but to pay him off, then you go home and yell at your wife.

It means lots of unattractive people at the table. A big part of Alec’s strategy is finding tables with attractive people, the implied odds go way up. Solver approved!
