Having a CD playing is what made the Technics catch my eye. I'm looking for something that will sound and look good and fill that niche on a bookshelf that the something like the Bose Wave used to market to. When my grandmother passed away I inherited her CD collection, and when you add that to my own; it ends up being a little over 250ish albums - many from the early 90s. I dont have the room for a "proper" stereo setup in my apartment like what she had in her home, but I want to enjoy all of the music she left me.

being a Russia based English teacher (my mother tongue is Russian) I can admit that I enjoyed not only the video production and the review of the units itself, but also the accent of the host. Kudos to you mate!

Mu-so 2 for me. Still the champion in my humble opinion, again it depends on what you need, your opinion may be different - and that's fine.

This video really makes me wish BOSE would release an updated Wave system, complete with multi room streaming capabilities and even Dolby Atmos, to truly bring it into the modern era.

Thank you for a great review with a crystal clear analysis. Could you please add the Cambridge Audio Evo to the comparison?

Hi Just bought the R410 & the RS1 subbie, the look really nice, a little dissapointed in the sound & very dissapointed that the Ruark is made in China, the marketing led me to believe it was British made. Im going to give it a couple of weeks to see how i feel about it as I really want to like it. maybe a swap for the Niam Muso 2?

Thanks a lot for the indepth review! Does any of these have a proper "line-out" for a connection to an existing Hifi?
@AVHifiCinema5 ай бұрын
thank you for the positive comment - so the answer is no - the only way really would be to use the Technics headphones out and that wouldnt be a good solution - we did another video about just add speaker systems - a few of those had that option but with these units they are designed to be one box solutions with speakers built in

I currently have the Edifier QR65 as my office desktop speakers. They're connected via their RCA input and I utilise the Dolby Access app via Windows 11. I'm contemplating replacing these with the Naim Mu-so 2 - connected via its 3.5mm input. My main speaker use in the office will be music (obviously) but also work (Teams), downtime (watching KZbin, Netflix etc.) At £899 (currently), is this a worthy sound upgrade over the QR65s or am I unlikely to notice any significant improvement?

Hi, we personally love the Naim Mu-so 2 and think you'd definitely notice an improvement in sound as well as features. It's a What Hi-Fi? 5-star rated product and we can see why. That said, there's no better way to know for yourself than to hear the product. That's why AV.com offers a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee, so you can buy with full confidence. You could also purchase a 'Nearly New' item while stocks last to save that little bit extra. Let us know how it goes! The Muso naim extremely needs a equalizer in the APP. There is nothing to customize for preference taste to how it sounds.

Great review. I was just wondering which one is most usable if I want to control it without the phone (I'm guessing Ruark)?
@AVHifiCinema6 ай бұрын
Hi There thanks for your positive comment! - they all have a physical remote but yes on balance were in agreement with you as the remote and the physical controls have been designed exactly the same on the ruark - there is, in effect only one way to control it and its comprehensive! - Just make sure its charged up!

You are not a man if you are putting up with that. As for the 3 systems. They are all mediocre and far from audiophile hifi.
