A funny headcanon I have is inspired by how loud his JPN voiced lines can get. His ENG voiced lines are what is his best attempt at a normal speaking voice (which is still pretty loud) ...and his JPN voiced lines are how loud he can get due to work related habits. I imagine he does try to not hurt people's ears on purpose, but he tends to be very vocal when he's exicited.

I laughed when you said "work related habits". My mother has been a Chinese cook throughout her life and she shouts a lot. Apparently part of it is because kitchens are loud so it's hard to hear or be heard and eventually that contributes to the habit or raising the volume of her voice.

I still cannot believe this guy of all characters got to appear in Legends Arceus. Extremely strange (aside from the brothers being popular in Japan) but very well executed especially with the tunnel conversion and him still keeping all his quirks like the poses and his train catchphrases (All Aboard in particular stands out). People finally understanding what makes Ingo (and Emmet) great after Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Masters just enhanced that element of their character with voice acting" this comment was by tweedlebug123 :) as someone who also tried out the battle subway (although admittedly had never won) from what I saw of the dialogue this is actually a rather accurate depiction of the characters :D dunno if this helped you out or anything, but I guess it's good to know ^^ *TLDR*: In the games' dialogue Emmet is visually cheerful to make up for not knowing how to express himself vocally whereas Ingo is the opposite, being good at expressing himself vocally but not visually. Both are still ecstatic and passionate about the things they like though, just having different ways of expressing it. :)
