If you thought that giant mechanical behemoth lumber slowly through the desert was scary enough, think again. I was lost in the desert and just so happened to find myself in the giant storm Naboris was in. I did this before getting myself a Sand Seal. The thing roared a terrifying roar and immediately locked onto me. Luckily, I teleported out of there at the last second before the damn thing could take me out with its thunder blast.

They're all really cool, but I've always liked the Gerudo so I'm a little biased. Vah Naboris is the most intimidating to me although because of its massive height and the fact that it moves around where the player can walk. I also think it would be cool to see the beasts, espiecially Vah Naboris, in action while being piloted. Anyone else agree?

I remember the first Divine Beast I heard, Vah Ruta, I was thoroughly freaked out. But there was something melancholic and dark about the scene. After I learned that the Champions had died and were trapped in the Divine Beasts--who were pretty much sick with Ganon's malice--when I moved on to Medoh's cutscene, the screech was just very sad to me. Like it was crying for help. It's still the saddest Divine Beast noise to me. Naboris still scares the daylights out of me though.

XD I would need to pick it up and go do Rudania and Naboris, but I feel going to them is such a pain, need to have a dude on the mountain with me and then I have to go fetch an heirloom in a assassin den and it feels like yikes will I survive? I only managed to clear Ruta and Medoh thanks to youtube videos of how to clear them thoroughly, of course the fun part is then having to do it too and hope you don't die too much trying.

Why I think Vah Naboris is absolutely terrifying. - Vah Naboris's walk seems so eerie to me. I almost feel like it's exhausted and ready to just collapse into the desert's harsh dunes - It's cry sounds like it's in pain and is calling for you to put it out of it's misery. - In the background of it's music (like with all the divine beasts) you can hear the signals SOS and SAD. (For those of you which don't know, SAD is Search And Destroy) - The sandstorm it kicks up lowers visibility to an extent. While bot super terrifying, it still gives me a little anxiety - Lightning scares me haha

I feel like these intros have more impact at night. I'd usually spent my time coming from across the map fighting smaller enemies barely getting by on low hearts and often getting lost... Suddenly, not even knowing where I was, Vah Rudania roars from the top of the mountain or Vah Medoh screeches in the sky and the realization of not only having to fight them but free your trapped companions truly kicks in.

I remember when I first got this game and was aimlessly walking around straight after the great plateau (I didn't care about Impa then) and I heard a roar that sent chills down my spine, the camera panned to a big cloud of smoke, then when it showed Naboris walking around I realised "maybe it's a good idea to get impa after all!" Despite my thoughts I started to run over to it thinking I could take it on but then I saw it's actual size, the rest is self explanatory

Out of all them, Vah Naboris had to be the most intimidating. Vah Medoh is just “Hey guys..... don’t come up here or you’ll get capped. Lol” when I first started breath of the wild, I saw Medoh flying over and I saw a huge thundercloud (the thunder plateau) and originally thought “So his deal is creating giant storms and messing with the Rito in the event they decide to try and fly. Pretty cool.”

Imagine living with these things for a century, knowing it was once protecting your land from monsters and one of the most beloved and revered person in your community was it's pilot. Only for that person to never return and the machine is now screaming and on a constant rampage. I suppose the only consolation is that unless Link tells them, most people probably don't know the spirits of the champions are trapped within the corrupted beasts, powerless to stop the pain it inflicts on their people.

Actually no, the divine beasts deactivated once zelda held back ganon, and remained dormant, but a little before link woke up, ganons power was gaining stronger, and the beasts reactivated, therefore only terrorizing the civilizations for a few weeks. Thats why everyone was so panicked, and why the towns weren’t destroyed yet. It had only recently happened

Why are they concerned. Ruta: The Zoras are scared of the heavy rainfall it is causing. Rudania: The Gorons are worried that it will cause everything to be crushed by the falling boulders. Naboris: The Gerudo are scared of a huge sand/lightning storm hitting the town. Medoh: SOME BIRD IS FLYING AND THATS ALL THERE IS TO IT.

If I recall correctly, Naboris is the only of the four which wasn’t being a direct threat to the region it resided in. Rudania was raining magma bombs onto the Gorons, disrupting gem mining. Ruta was threatening to flood all of Hyrule. Medoh was shooting down any Rito who tried to take flight. But Naboris? It was just wandering in circles, only attacking if someone drew close. Stay away from Naboris, and you’d be fine.

Well actually one of the Gerudo in the Bazaar said that they wondered when Naboris was going to get too close. Basically it was moving across the desert where it would eventually find it's way to civilization. If it were to make it to Gerudo town. Naboris would kill everyone. Basically making the wasteland, an actual wasteland.

Naboris has the scariest roar of them all. Naboris = Scary and intimidating as fuck Rudania = Intimidation and creepy Ruta = Big ass, water spouting elephant, the cry scares me too. Medoh = Incredible Eagle in the sky....only flying around. Not so scary, yet it is a divine beast and watching him in the sky is rather unnerving My order of completion (Normal Mode) - Rudania - Ruta - Naboris - Medoh My order of completion (Master Mode) - Ruta - Rudania - Medoh - Naboris

Only thing I knew about BotW before I played it was the you could have Link crossdress. So obviously I beelined it to the desert asap. Little did I know, that was supposedly the hardest place. Also, seeing Vah Naboris walking around in the sandstorm before ever even watching the cutscene, or even knowing what it was (from way up on the mountains around Spectacle Rock) was extremely nerve wracking. Kinda like seeing Farosh fir the first time without even knowing he was a thing. Still so glad I wasn't spoiled for this game before playing it.

Naboris is easily the scariest bc it’s SO CLOSE to Gerudo Town, like it could just walk 15 seconds over to Gerudo town or Kara Kara bazaar and obliterate everyone in the Gerudo desert, but for me the least scary is Rudania because it says during the main quest it can’t get to Goron City due to the bridge being up

when I was at the Gerudo desert, of course it's very foggy but instead of getting the cutscene, the camera just pans to Naboris and tried to shock me with purple thunder. It's almost the same when I'm trying to reach Goron City before those lava rocks come bugging me

My order: Vah Medoh - First one I saw Vah Ruta: I happened to be near Zora's domain when exploring, so I figured I'd go there next. Vah Rudania: I love the gorons, and Vah Rudania is easily the most badass. Vah Naboris: I never really knew the Gerudo that well, I also figured it would be the hardest. I never actually used the tracking points on the map...

My main problem with this game is, there really isn’t that much urgency to stop the Divine Beasts. Ruta nailed this though as there was the threat of over flowing the lake, and the Zora couldn’t fix this due to the being vulnerable to shock arrows that’s why they needed you. Medoh wasn’t that great though. It apposed no real threat other than being dangerous to go near. It was just, there. Rudania wasn’t that good either, it did make certain things not be able to happen, like mining operations, but it didn’t appose any time related threat for survival like Ruta. Just another nuisance. Naboris was kinda the same. It wondered the desert, and the Gerudo did fear it getting to close to the town and destroy it, but that’s pretty much it. It was just a scary beast looming close. If Ganon had real plans to destroy Hyrule, he would use the Blights to control each Beast and take control of the Zora, Goron, Gerudo, and Rito. His main plan has to have been stop the Champions from gaining control over the Divine Beasts, and let his Blights keep watch to insure his Safety. But he doesn’t use them as a weapon, creating HIS downfall.

What i think is happening when they roar is either them calling for help or warding link off, not because the're evil, but because the champions souls have inhabited the divine beasts themselves and that they are warding link off so that way he does not end the same way Mipha, Revali, Daruk, And Urbosa did.

Vah Ruta: is causing the East Reservoir where to fill up with water anymore and it will eventually burst flooding not only Zoras Domain but the entirety of the Lanayru region it can also hurl thousands of ice blocks at trespassers. Vah Rudania: has been causing Death Mountain to become extremely active making mining difficult for Gorons as well as frequent eruptions making the Eldin region hotter than usual. Vah Naboris: has been hurling bolts of lightning everywhere in the Gerudo region these lightning strikes also create sand Storm's and ever since the Yiga stole the Gerudo heirloom known as the Thunder helm Gerudo town has been incredibly vulnerable to lightning strikes. Vah Medoh: Is armed with countless amounts of weaponry aerial equipment would be shot out of the sky immediately this includes the Rito themselves grounding all the Rito troubling the hebra region

You forgot to mention that Medoh flies so high that only a Rito would stand a chance of boarding it. And any Rito brave enough to try would be slaughtered or be too injured to do anything once they boarded the thing. And of course, anyone that does manage to board the divine beast will have to find a way to unlock the terminals. Plus, they'll have to deal with a variation of Gannon that even their champion couldn't defeat. So without Link, everyone is doomed to the calamity caused by the divine beast. And Hylia help them once Gannon got loose.
