I like the ones that are less “organic” or “human”. greivace looks great cause hes a largely mechanical cyborg, vader looks pretty good cause h s masked and a cyborg too (though less mechanical). The helmeted figures look ok, though a bit blocky, but the ones with actual faces are just offputting. its representing organics with very visable and not subtle technics pieces. The reason why bionicle/hero factory worked well was because it was mainly cyborgs/robots.

And ones with lots of cloth work good too- The older Rey and Kylo Ren have lots of cloth, Kylo covers the what some consider ugly legs, and the back Rey covers the legs a bit less but has a great front because of the way the cloth is

The legs had room to improve. Good thing it makes sense that he can improve them. Just switch them out for stronger more agile legs and boom! He can strike more aggressive poses better than ever.

In my defense even tho' I never had them? I usually thought these Buildable Figures were fun LEGO Star Wars sets imo, probably my favorite ones are the Droid and Helmeted ones like Cody,Grevious, or Jango Fett etc. and yet probably Poe Dameron too because while I admit the Sequel trilogy of Star Wars was kinda iffy?? I usually thought Poe Dameron had a cool Buildable Figure set because I think it would make a nice Bionicle MOC representation of this one LEGO prototype theme before Bionicle and Hero Factory called "Cybots" lol.

I was digging through my old Star Wars stuff and found two fully intact ones. It was Darth Vader and General Grievous, which were the best ones I would say. I remember collecting them a few years back. General Grievous is bloody huge compared to all the other ones.

My favorite part about building these kits is modifying them. Take Grievous for example. His legs was a weak point in my opinion. Although it was show accurate the range of mobility was a little lackluster. If you can rework the legs giving it a wider range of flexibility without sacrificing stability you can really make him stand out they way he does in his first appearance in The Clone Wars. And you can get away with it because he’s a cyborg.

Rainbow Dash I modified Grievous so that he looks like his Clone Wars (2008) and Revenge Of The Sith version at the same time. I also modified his armor below the gutsack by squeezing it a bit, so it’s narrower than normal. And I also added organs into his gutsack by using a red diamond piece as his heart, and the long green pieces that kinda look like a whip as... something. I don’t know. I just added it for more believability, I guess. I also modified his legs without him losing stability. I created a way for Grievous to have one set and two sets of arms at different times by copying my modified arms and adding two pieces of the piece that’s used for his neck onto the arms and attaching them to his back when I want to. It still looks normal and doesn’t seem out of place.

Now, after a few years i came back to this set series, and wanted to buya few figures, couse i already got some and they look amazing on a bookshelf with star wars books, but as it turns out, for some reason they are much more expensive now. They used to cost between 80 and 120 pln depending on size and amount of pieces (1usd - around 4 pln) and now all of sudden thay cost around 250-280 pln, except for baze malbus and Chirrut imwe who cost around 35 pln. Fortunatelly enough those are somw of the ones ieanted the most, and those i liked the best ftom first three serieses besides these two i already have grievous, vader (1st one), obi-wan, kylo, phasma (my fav from wave 2), rey, finn and poe (2nd fav from wave 2). Idefinetelly goingto buy cjirrut and baze, but i wisj drath trooper, scarif trooper and range trooper (i know this one isn't included in this video) were available here in normal prices

i really want the range trooper but the lowest you can get on amazon is 77 USD and I already bought the K-2SO for 67, I think the problem with all of the humanoid figures is that their legs are too skinny, which the Range trooper kinda fixes with his cape thing
