I'm pretty sure it was also the case with windows where 1.0's startup really just sounded like a mixture of a foghorn and something grinding together, but it just evolved into what we know today. Makes sense for Apple to just keep the same tone though, heck, it's probably even a classic for some.

Actually the Macintosh XL did not have a startup sound. In addition, the SE/30 and PowerBook 100 actually use the same startup sound as the Macintosh II, the Classic uses the same startup sound as the original Macintosh, the PowerBook 500 series use the same startup sound as the Quadra 700 (unless PowerPC upgraded), and the PowerBook G3 Kanga and Power Macintosh 5500, 5400, G3 minitower, G3 desktop and G3 all-in-one use the same startup sound as the 9500.

Who else misses when Steve jobs was still alive and running apple, Tim nook makes iPhones weak on purpose so that when you take your phone to get repaired at the Apple store they tell you that a cracked screen is beyond repair and you're going to have to get the new iPhone, even nook himself said that iPhones are weaker then last years model. I use android now (s22) and tbh i don't plan on going back to iPhone. Now I've always used windows and never will leave windows, currently using a window vista tower and a windows 11 HP victus (my main)
