Once he was choking Jane, he started seeing her as a zombie, only motivating him further to choke her. It’s easy to infer that that’s what most likely happened until they both drowned. Thats what THE CRADLE does, it’s a hallucinogen that makes people VIOLENT and see others as MONSTERS. No, Case did not turn into a zombie. That’s not what The Cradle does. It makes you hallucinate others as zombies.

Didn't play bo6, bocw, mw reboots. But the others are complete nostalgia. I recently started playing codm for time pass. Even though codm doesn't have any campaign mode. But Activision releases comics every season. That story of the comic is just a mix of all cods set in a single world. There I found an original major villian in codm called Stanfield. He got killed by our favourite ghost Simon Riley and another villian called templar. But the ending that comic made ghost a little bit alike to general shepherd.

Jane’s death was pretty rough. Though, I know for a fact they could’ve made it more brutal especially with how The Cradle brings out a Raw, Violent, Animalistic Side to those affected. But it’s also one thing about Violence against Women, but we literally do worse things to female ops when playing multiplayer so that’s a contradiction. Also: Jane, don’t try sweet talking a man you were literally beating just seconds before. Yeah the Chopper was being flooded and you needed to get out, even with Case’s help, but cmon, neither of you were going home especially with you struggling to open the door moments earlier too.
