@@demroles6996 Technicality wise they look better now and atleast there aren't any corners that are pitch black and things are balanced, but you can not deny the fact that the old lighting was so much cooler. I personally think it made the game more realistic and fun because it had unbalanced things. That is what makes things fun. If everything is perfect, nothing is.

It still bothers me, even being successful with current and old kapkan. Both kapkan and frost are nerfed/reworked, even though they’re countered by not playing like you’re in cod, good droning and callouts, and simply having a working set of eyeballs. You don’t need a special op to directly counter them and yet they still got cut down

It's just the effect of super dark lighting. It's not realistic but since you see more shadows it feels more real. If you played back then you'd know it was actually horrible, there's a reason people rejoiced when they changed it

@@ZalahsarObjectively the newer lighting looks a whole lot worse and less cinematic than the early days. The new lighting is definitely more fair and balanced, but makes everything look worse. Siege is definitely a lot more balanced than before, but I still miss those old days.

Shields shouldn't have been added in the first place. Near unstoppable only thing was a nitrocell or just pure luck kapkan insta kill. Even now nitrocell is heavy as a cinderblock now and even if you get it behind the shield on monte he's still fast asf for you to even not kill him somehow -_- As for blitz his shield still can flash you from a good amount of distancing even if the shield doesn't protect you at all

@@koreancowboy42 your changing your firepower for protection so of course you should be harder to kill. Blitz shield absolutely does not work half the time and your head is a perfect target whenever you aim down the sights. Monty has more counters now than just c4 or luck.

Whole point of shields is support. Smoke, frost, and most importantly positioning are devastating counters to shields.

you forgot to add that hibana use to counter bandit tricking in a way back than. because back in red crow when she came out "if" her pellets were already on the wall before bandit could get one of his battery on the wall, then it would "not" destroy the hibana pellets and they would just go off anyway with the wall still being electrified by the bandit battery.

We have people like Echo who can deny plant, maestro etc, don't see why it's wrong to have post plant denial. He's got 3 charges and the only utility he brings with his gadget is location intel I don't see what's wrong with the ability being strong. Now it works about as well as a cam somewhere to yellow ping from. It's not terrible but it feels like ubi wants gadgets to be bare-mininum for the sake of balance, rather than making all the weak stuff stronger. Like instead of having live wallhacks, why not keep the current 3 ping thing but have the silhouette of the person show through the wall with the ping? So you know if they're high/low/prone etc.

In Black Ice, Frost's shotgun is much stronger than it is now. She used to have a nitro cell. Frost now has a secondary shotgun and her welcome mats can't hide in plants anymore. Buck's shotgun attachment couldn't open up walls like it does now and he used to have frags. Thermite used to have frag grenades at release. IQ's sensor can see through smoke at launch and the screen is clearer in the beta than at launch. Her sensor used to detect all friendly gadgets, and she could see Hibana's x-kairos and Fuze's cluster charge being launched and bouncing off surfaces. Ubisoft exchanged her stuns for frags, then to claymore. IQ's G8A1 would have less ammo before Amaru's debut in Ember Rise. Tachanka's turret made a lot of noise when you turn. You could easily make holes in Castle's barricades before the buff. Castle's M45 MEUSOC has been replaced by the Super Shorty. Rook's armor bag can be used to block drone holes, now they can't. In Dust Line, Valkyrie can throw 4 black eye cameras and can be thrown outside during preparation phase. Jackal can track bombers' footprints and scan them to locate them. Mute's jammers did get buffs later on. Twitch has a different default outfit at release. Capitão's smoke's bolts used to be colored blue. Finka can heal teammates now since North Star. Caveira' pistol has seen nerfs. Clash's machine pistol was originally burst fire, not automatic. At launch and during beta, all attackers (Including Thermite and Sledge) except Montagne have breach charges. They changed the voice actresses for Hibana, Mira and IQ. There's the attachment rework and removal of ACOG for many operators, especially defenders. Ace's S.E.L.M.A. can open up walls more with a third detonation, and the size of the opening can be compared to Thermite's. Now his S.E.L.M.A. only detonates twice. Oryx's dash towards a wall originally would damage his health by 10. Oryx used to have the MP5, now he has the T-5 SMG. Mozzie loses his Super Shorty. Eight attackers now have GONNE-6 as an option for a sidearm. They disabled night time versions of all maps a couple of seasons ago. There are more changes I haven't listed yet.

Personally I miss old Kapkan. I know it could be considered unbalanced as it was a one shot, but if had a bright ass laser, and there was only three of em, felt balanced to me.

He was super weak at the time. 3 armor made it hard to get his traps into good spots, and he had a huge spike poking through the other side of the door. I think his first rework made his laser very faint, removed the spike, was still a one hit and allowed you to place it not just on the bottom.

Some changes were very good and reduced the bs of the game but other nerfs I think are stupid like montange’s hipfire just being useless even in pointblank range and thatcher’s emp not destroying electronics( cause that’s what EMPs do) and the emps new ability to disable defender optics which I think shouldn’t effect the 1.5 and the reflex cause those sights are battery free. In the case for the 1.5 the reticle should just turn black cause of the etched reticle all scopes have

See, it makes sense logically that an emp should destroy electronics. From a gameplay perspective this would cause thatcher to hard counter 19 of the 34 defender roster gadgets not even considering things like bulletproof cams and alarms he would quickly become a must pick due to how safe easy and generally hard to counter his gadget is.

@@keithwicks9103 bb had to be flanked, thats all it took to kill him easily, he wasn't and still isn't OP, he just is strong in a single area, in exchange he's bad at getting there and in other areas, if blackboard gets set up he should kill anything that enters his set up site, just like how if Fuze sets his charges up he should kill what is hit, which he often does

@@keithwicks9103 you use an impact to destroy the claymore, beyond that there's plenty of cases where you could kill him before the claymore goes off if your good, secondly that window area is almost never going to be actually useful unless you already made a mistake with that area, also you can always use smoke to block his line of sight and or force him to back off, where you can then get a person next to the window to abuse how poorly rappelling angles work out for attackers

Yeah where you can literally get spawn killed from like four different areas -_- such a fun make. Spawn at streets you have 1. Top bathroom spawn peek 2. Garage open the guy sits there and watches the pathway from the backyard or he rushes into the street prefiring. 3. The bedroom window almost a guarantee kill. Then that annoying kitchen areas middle window. Hop out at the perfect moment you can get a kill of them running and not expecting it. Then the spawn peek from that dumb pathway of the construct room to that window above main doors. Then of course that retarded hop out of backyard that back stairwell window hope out and pre fire then hop second window below only to hop back out from that bottom window and pre fire again Yeah old house seems so much fun when people wanna do tips and tricks
