It depends on the character really. For me. Daruk: English. He sounds like those bad guys in the anime in Japanese. Mipha: Both, but Japanese suits her better a little more. Revali: Both! Really good! Urbosa: English!!! The actress did a great job with her!! Zelda: Japanese, the english felt like she came right out of a GoT episode. Gosh Link:.. Well, he barely speaks lol XD

Honestly loved playing this game. Probably the best Zelda game of all time and definitely one of the greatest games of all time. 2017 was the year of Nintendo with all of these great titles. Hopefully Nintendo can release more great games in the future.

Seeing a lot of people here knocking Urbosa's japanese voice actor's performance saying that it's bad and the english one is better. Well, here's why you're objectively wrong. People are complaining that the JP voice performance sounds too boyish, despite the fact that that was the very intention. Given that this game was made in Japan, not the most culturally progressive of places, the insinuation here is that while the Gerudo are a tribe consisting only of women, they really struggle presenting themselves as feminine. Examples being how ripped they are, the running joke that they have difficulty finding a man, and their warrior like culture. Urbosa as leader of the Gerudo embraces this instead of despairing over it (like most of the other gerudos), and as such carries herself in a very "masculine" capacity. The English take on this, however, gives her the stereotypical "regal ruler" voice, and is not only boring, but doesn't actually match the character and what the creators were going for. So yeah, pretty lackluster for the english version.

The last line of urbosa memory is much better in the french translation (with japanese dub of course) After she spoke about the fact her mother died and how zelda endure that she said "She would have been proud of her little lady. But I did it for her"

I just love Zelda's expressions and with her smooth face and big green eyes, she just look adorable. And as for why the Champions were defeated so easily, I think it's because the Blights were created to take advantage of what made them so strong and turn it against them. There is also the possibility of them not being able to fight at their best while mentally wrangling for the controls of their Divine Beasts. That is my theory.

What I love about the legend of zelda franchise, which Breath of the wild does fantastically, is how its presented as such a light hearted adventure but are always filled with such sorrow and melancholy. In the great plateau you're all like "yeah! Adventure!" Then you find out Links fish wife is dead Links Goron bro is dead Zeldas mom is dead Bird vegeta is dead Everything is dead and that damn pig ghost is up there responcible for it.

I prefer Japanese mainly for the fact that I just cannot stand Zelda's voice in English. They should have chosen a better voice actress for her.....and one that is ACTUALLY British rather than an American doing an awful impression of a British accent. I didn't mind everyone else's voice but Zelda's was the reason why I immediately switched to Japanese when I had the chance.
