Just started playing today this is really helpful, one thing I'm noticing is that it would be better if you could level up already placed tiles (unless i've just not learned about this yet?) e.g. you start with longhouses near your keep, that unlocks houses, and either dropping houses over the top over all 4 tiles levels it into the next progression. That way you only have to memorise a few basic patterns like residential being square, farms being circles with a space in the middle for a specialisation building etc

Glad to help! And yeah, I do agree and wish you could level up the merged buildings after you place them.
