I think this system would be ideal for a large building such as a shopping centre. There is a system similar to this in a shopping centre I visit often, I don't know the model of any of the panels or notification devices. I think it's a common system that was used from around the year 1990 to 2010 in large buildings here in Ireland.

Hey S.E.R., I have a question. If u held down the PTT button on the mic and then activated a pull station or other device, how would the system react? Would it override the mic and play the pre-recorded messages or would it just strobe and leave the mic active and feedback the horns?

The mic is the higest priority in the safepath and will override any messages

For the tornado emergency, it will be the 'weather emergency' message; mass notification systems are seldom linked to a device that transmits Emergency Alert System messages.

In that case, there would actually be 10 slots on the mass notification system (and also the system would trigger the message just like the EAS) Mass notification systems are normally not connected to a device that transmits EAS messgaes due to FCC regulations.
