Metal Slug ( Japanese: メタルスラッグ Metaru Suraggu ) is a series of platform games created by the Japanese company SNK Playmore .
The main characters fight against the enemy army, aliens and other supernatural threats, such as mummies, monsters or zombies . The main characters in most of the games in the series were Marco Rossi and Tarma Roving, Fio Germi and Eri Kasamoto also return regularly from part two. Apart from them, the heroes of the series were Nadia Cassel and Trevor Spacey (in Metal Slug 4 ) or Walter Ryan and Tyra Elson. Metal Slug 6 and 7 also featured Ralf Jones and Clark Steel , known from the Ikari Warriors series , as playable characters .
It includes the following games:
Metal Slug - released in 1996 for Automata , Neo Geo , Neo Geo CD , Playstation , Saturn, PlayStation 2 , PSP , Wii , PC
Metal Slug 2 - released in 1998. Automata , Neo Geo CD , PlayStation 2 , PSP , Wii , PC , the game got an improved version called Metal Slug X after a year
Metal Slug 3 - Automata , Neo Geo , PlayStation 2 , Xbox , PSP , Wii , PC , Xbox 360 (2000)
Metal Slug 4 - Automata , Neo Geo , PlayStation 2 , Xbox , PSP , Wii , PC (2002)
Metal Slug 5 - released Automata , Neo Geo , PlayStation 2 , Xbox , PSP , Wii
Metal Slug 6 - Released in 2006 for Automata , PlayStation 2 , PSP , Wii (2006)
Metal Slug 7 - Released in 2008 for the Nintendo DS
Several omnibus editions, such as the Metal Slug Anthology, have also been released. In addition to the main series, the game has several spin-offs for portable consoles and one game made in 3D:

Metal Slug: 2nd Mission - released in 2000 Neo Geo Pocket Color

Metal Slug Defense - from 2014 for iOS and Android
In Japan, SNK Playmore continued to release the Metal Slug series for handhelds with titles such as Metal Slug Mobile, Metal Slug STG, Metal Slug Mobile Impact Metal Slug Gaiden: Allen's Battle Chronicles, Metal Slug Survivors, Metal Slug Soldiers, Metal Slug 4th Mission, Metal Slug Warriors or Metal Slug: Mars Panic .

Al metal Slug Awekening de ahora, le falta los sonidos originales de armas y gritos de soldados.. Los de ahora se notan muy sin ganas, sin emotividad a como eran los clásicos..
