The MK3 explanation of Jax choosing purposely to uparmor his arms to defend Earthrealm against the monsters of Outworld is badass. That narrative puts him over a lot more. I also think he has some sort of chi power that makes him stand out even more than other soldier characters. I think this was alluded to in the "Repect Jax" video. John Tobias has confirmed that Sonya has chi and that her "rings" projectile is not tech.

I think you could expand on Meat by having Special Forces seize Shang Tsung's island and go through his research in the Flesh Pits. Khameleon the one with a actual story out of her and her male counterpart she has a huge hatred for Shao Kahn for invading Zaterra and had to serve him and seeks to free her realm and get vengeance on Shao Kahn and try turning Reptile against Shao Kahn but failed that right there should have been expanded on in the original timeline her story similar to Kitana I wish Khameleon & Chameleon be DLC or something in a future MK game.
