While Duke was mentioned in the dialogue, the bartender at the Goalpost was actually Gil, Tom Cudahy's friend who turned out to be a con man and potential sex criminal. He tried to get rough with Brooke in later episodes.

If Im not mistaken, the bartender is played by the same actor who played Brian Madisson on The Edge of Night back in '79.

Liza was a brat back then. She was far from the sensible Liza (yes, Mrs. Chandler) that AMC viewers became familiar with.

Too bad Marcy Walker had to "discover Jesus." I miss her and the new Liza is 10 years too young.
