I didn't speak at my grandma's funeral because I was too busy crying on my dad's shoulder. But when Bianca talked about how her grandma made the best cookies in the world, I could relate. I think that most everybody says that their grandmas make the best cookies in the world. Mine certainly did.

I thought it was so cool that Larry Keith (Nick) came back for the funeral. I loved the scenes between Nick and Mona in the early days of AMC.

When I first saw most of these scenes, of course I could not stop looking at the ultimate Diva/ drama queen in the room. Susan stole virtually every scene she was in. It was the nature of the character, the writing and the acting. Now I am decades older and I am watching Francis Heflin's work. In all of these scenes it is picture perfect. Whether she is a nervous bride, a sweet caring neighbor, a frustrated and confused mother, or the victim of Pine Valley Grande Dame of Venom, she plays off the tension in the scene, without detracting from it. She understands exactly what her supporting role entails and what it should not become. We are watching the perfect supporting actress.

@amytx1999 - Nick Davis was good friends with Mona Tyler. He was also the biological father to Phil Brent (with Amy Tyler - Ruth Brent Martin's sister). He is the biological grandfather to Charlie Brent. Nick had an affair with Erica prior to her marriage to Tom Cudahy. He was married to Kitty Shea (Kellie Cole Tyler's twin sister) and to Ann Tyler (Charles Tyler and Phoebe Tyler Wallingford's daughter).

I love Erica but seeing these scenes with her and Mona are tough for me. It reminds me too much of my sister and momma. 😄 Only difference when my momma had to hear that laser tongue, she'd put her in her place with the quickness.
