Thanks for posting this. Fun to watch old AMC - I think Nina was so pretty!

I was really sorry to see Nina and Steve not make it. I couldn't stand the syrupy sweet romance of Nina/Cliff. Although Cliff really was a great man. And I never understood why Palmer hated Cliff so much. Cliff was a great human being who loved his daughter with all his heart. And he was a DOCTOR! Palmer is stupid.

@@lorififield593 Steve did end up being written like a jerk. I think at first he was written well. I think that, as a non Cliff/Nina fan, I was more open to other Nina possibilities. I think what I liked was the Steve and Nina actors' chemistry. Didn't Cliff and Nina end up together, though?

@@lorififield593 Cliff was an upstanding man, husband and father. Agreed.

Palmer wanted to remain the VIP in Ninas life. He raised her to be afraid of childbirth. He wanted to keep her childlike and under his thumb.

Lori Fifield: They did have great chemistry. And Nina grew up. No idea how Cliff and Nina ended up.

@@lisarandleman6141 But he seemed to like Steve, who actually turned out to be sort of not a great character by the end.

I don't know what happened but towards the end AMC was not able to write plot and characters the way they did with such ease in the 80s. The chemistry was gone and they couldn't get it back. Isn't that Dack Rambo? I was eleven years old but I remember all of the sitcoms in the primetime line up ads. Madeline Kahn was the funniest woman ever RIP. Just our luck sucked bigtime. Just a lousy show.
