If you decide to sell your Robert Oster x TCMC ink, I'll happily take it off your hands!😂

I’ll definitely let you know 😂 I’m hoping Helen does more colours since these were such a hit. Imagine a grey! 🤩

Sailor inks are so pretty.

They really are! I love how reliable sailor inks are and they have a fabulous shade range too 😊

For your dry inks I would get some white lightning from Vaness pens if you can. Just a tiny dip of a needle’s tip worth is enough to make the ink in your converter more wet and flow better.

Thanks for the tip! I've heard a lot about white lightning on Reddit but could never justify the cost of shipping to Australia. Definitely something to keep in mind for if my ink collection grows though! :)

If you still want some ideas on how to use up ink, though im still kinda new and haven't used up a bottle yet myself, then these might be something. Ink swaps are popular or giving out samples. Watercolor with the ink/drawing if you're into that. Ink splatters for decorating pages, multiple ways of doing doing those. Lots of writing lol, but transcribing books/texts. You could also try mixing inks, but thats a bit more advanced, though i like the idea. I don't know if any of that was helpful. I really wantto try the shikiori line, especially Yozakura. I love the look of rose or cherry blossom colours, haven't tried many or writing long forms yet though. Enjoyed your video. Thanks

I'm always in the market for ideas on how to use my journaling supplies! I love the idea of ink swaps, I've honestly just been too lazy to get the sample vials to fill which is totally on me. It's definitely on my to do list and maybe something I'll do around the holidays as a little gift to share the joy. I love the idea of ink splatters. Definitely not something I've considered doing in the past. Will definitely be trying it out soon. As much as I would love to draw I have the artistic ability of a goldfish ahaha. I envy anyone that can draw. Perhaps a skill to work on next year. As much as I love writing, my ADHD makes it hard for me to stay interested when it comes to transcribing. I often find myself getting bored and wanting to do something else. That being said, I would love to get into so I can practice different fonts. Perhaps I'll have to stick to something shorter like some poetry. I love the idea of mixing ink, again have been too lazy to get the vials but I'll keep you updated if/when I get into it. I was bit scared of how inks would react when mixed but I think since I mostly own a lot of the same brands they should play pretty well together. If you can, I highly recommend the shikiori line. So many beautiful and rich colours - you really can't go wrong! Yozakura will forever be a favourite of mine. Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment with all the tips! :)

A lot of this stuff I've learnt from watching, probably too many videos on inks and fountain pens. People do swatch or ink journals that document their journeys and thoughts about pairings too. I'd love to get into ink watercolour but im also not artistic in drawing, though i like writing. I've started dabbling in ink mixing but not a lot and have started collecting some ink samples. I don't know if I can ink swap as I don't know anyone around me who is into fountain pens, but i hope you can and I'd love to hear how you go with all of those too. The shikiori line has been the one to capture my interst the most, I think I have one sample of irori to try. I forgot to mention my favourite ink ive been enjoying so far is Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku. A teal type colour and it has lovely shading, even in a fine nib. Love to see more videos from you and enjoy exploring.

I have a bottle of Lady Rose that I haven't used in ages! I should give it another try. OMG, Ok, if you insist. I just purchased Sailor Shikiori Yozakura. XP I put Kyokkou in an extra-fine this month and I'm having ra-grets.

Lady rose is honestly a favourite. It doesn’t write as desaturated as a lot of other FWP inks and it’s really pretty. And I hope you love yozakura!! I’m obsessed and can see myself actually finishing the bottle. It’s perfect for October in the hobonichi cousin too. The colour looks good with the purple grids 😉 Ahaha yea it’s a really desaturated colour. I wish I swatched it in store before jumping the gun on it but here we are…

@@AliciaUstina Definitely need to dig it out. I think Yozakura will be perfect in my new Sailor Kubozakura pen! Really excited to see the combo. I actually did have a sample of Kyokkou and I really liked it in my Lamy 2000 so I got a bottle, but that experience is not translating in to every pen!

some pretty inks there ❤ I’m about 6 mths down the rabbit hole (fountain pen and inks) but yet to try any Sailor inks, I think I need to change this!

Sailor is the best imo! I love the way they write and the consistency. Don’t think I’ve tried a bad sailor ink before. I recommend grabbing some samples to try that way you can try more colours without the commitment ahaha. I will say that sailor inks are definitely on the more expensive side compared to other brands but I think it’s worth the cost 😊
