I have a bunch of artists that I have a LOT of.Usually getting everything isn't something I do because there are live performances that aren't as good as the studio stuff. There's bootleg albums etc.. Anyways I have over 20 Coltrane LPs, every studio album by Velvet Underground. All The Beatles, all the albums by Beat Happening...should I continue? No...too many!

@@mistery-ed7900 yea i had to select a cut off date for the smiths vinyl i wanted to own, because you can own EVERYTHING ever released under the band's name but it gets ridiculous and is stuff that wouldn't add any more value to my collection. 20 coltrane albums - DAMN I'd like to just own one thanks!! hahaha and i also don't own any beatles which seems to be a weird stance in the vinyl community, but i just don't get much out of their music

But just having my favourite albums physically in my house is miles better than just streaming songs online, I really enjoy it. Hope you find your Rank soon! :D

big respect for openly saying in past videos that you don’t play a lot of your records on the turntable that much, i feel like a lot of people who are super duper into vinyl don’t get that a lot of people, like myself, like to mainly collect records because it’s nice to have a physical representation of the music and the artists that you love!
@kirawasadiver4 жыл бұрын
That’s it, probably over half the reason I collect vinyl. There’s nothing wrong with that - I don’t really like people that have rules about what you need to do to be part of a community. That’s not a very welcoming community. There’s a lot of meaning with owning records passed down from my older relatives as well, as they’re the people that got me into this music in the first place
@slorps65594 жыл бұрын
kirawasadiver exactly, the sentimentality is something that i think isn’t appreciated enough. although i am currently in the process of buying a new better quality record player so that i’ll use my records for their intended purpose more often haha

@@slorps6559 legit same thing man, i am saving up for a lp120 audio technica hahahah i feel like i can't go lp60 and post videos about my vinyl because i'm gonna get too many comments saying it'll wreck my records but that's alright, i'm happy with a 120 and keeping it forever
@slorps65594 жыл бұрын
kirawasadiver very nice, though one thing i would definitely want to recommend is to get the audio technica LP120X, not the LP120. the LP120X is basically the updated and better version of the LP120 but it’s like the same price as the LP120 so you wouldn’t be spending more money! The LP120X basically fixed all the problems that the LP120 had and it’s supposed to be amazing

Hi, Last Night I Dreamt Somebody Loved Me is a beautiful piece of music but personally i think the Smiths best track is How Soon Is Now. Everythingt about that track is perfect and the guitar sound is unique. The Smiths made loads of good tracks but How Soon Is Now is a timeless classic. Always enjoy your music related videos, thanks from England.
@kirawasadiver4 жыл бұрын
how soon is now seems to be objectively the top smiths song. i really dooo love it - don't get me wrong! i love yelling 'i am human and i need to be loved', but i do have to say that There is a Light that Never Goes Out' is my absolute favourite smiths song. reason being that it is so relatable. i've never shown someone that song that hasn't fallen in love with it. it unites people of all different tastes!

Unless your copy of their self-titled debut has " This Charming Man" as the 6th track, you don't have the original studio version of that song, which is superior to the version on "Hatful of Hollow". I would recommend getting the 12" copy of "Thiis Charming Man" if you can find it.
@39Fanclub11 ай бұрын

You were talking about how the values of records can increase. I just looked at discogs and checked on the price for The Thirteenth Floor Elevators Easter Everywhere album in mono and being a promo.₤ 2000! I bought it for $20 in the 80's. I didn't even know it was rare, I just knew it was cool. My original Saturn label Sun Ra records are off the charts. A couple of them have hand made covers and are one of a kind. Values! Yikes!!
