Such a beautiful song. Long ago, in a remote, lush Utah mountain valley, 120 Christian women, children, and unarmed men from Arkansas in a wagon train bound for California were slaughtered by local Mormon settlers. None were buried but were left for animal scavengers. The Mountain Meadows Massacre; please research it. The largest mass murder in American history until 9-11-2001. Chillingly, it also occurred on 9-11… 1857. I dedicate this song to their memory, remembered by few.

Thank you for keeping their memories alive. Can you share anything with me so I can see their names? I just lost my grandmother. Before that, my father, my brother, my family pet, my mother’s aunt, and the first death I ever experienced at just shy of 5 years old, my Nanny (grandfathers mother) I’ve had to accept death at such a young age, and now my son has experience all of this minus my nanny. And my older children. I am so overwhelmed with grief, it’s exhausting. How are supposed to keep going and doing this? 😢
